This Timed Research is part of the ongoing Mega Buddy Challenge event, and this guide has all of the details.<\/p>\n<p>To start, the Mega Buddy Challenge Timed Research will be available from September 22 at 8am local time to September 28 at 10pm local time, and\u00a0it\u00a0has four steps. Each of these steps is comprised of multiple tasks that grant a variety of rewards, and there is even some added incentive for completing <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/pokemon-go\/\"><em>Pokemon GO<\/em><\/a>&#8216;s\u00a0Mega Buddy Challenged Timed Research in its entirety. More specifically, players that finish all of the following\u00a0tasks\u00a0will eventually unlock\u00a0another Timed Research that features <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-go-halloween-2020-mega-gengar\/\">Mega Gengar<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-go-longchamp-fashion-week-details-dates-shiny\/\">Pokemon GO Longchamp Date, Spawns, and Shiny Guide<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static0.gamerantimages.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/pokemon-go-mega-blastoise.jpg\"\/><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li>Catch 5 Pokemon (5 Razz Berries)<\/li>\n<li>Make 5 Great Throws (3 Poke Balls)<\/li>\n<li>Give your Buddy 3 Treats (Houndour Encounter)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Rewards: 35 Beedrill Mega Energy, 500 Stardust, 1,000 XP<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Catch 10 Pokemon (3 Pinap Berries)<\/li>\n<li>Use 5 Berries to help catch Pokemon (3 Poke Balls)<\/li>\n<li>Earn a Candy walking with your Buddy (Buneary Encounter)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Rewards: 40 Beedrill Mega Energy, 1,000 Stardust, 2,000 XP<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Catch 9 different species of Pokemon (3 Golden Razz Berries)<\/li>\n<li>Mega Evolve a Pokemon (3 Great Balls)<\/li>\n<li>Earn 7 Hearts with your Buddy (Haunter Encounter)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Rewards: 60 Beedrill Mega Energy, 1,000 Stardust, 2,000 XP<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Claim Reward (3 Silver Pinap Berries)<\/li>\n<li>Claim Reward (10 Poke Balls)<\/li>\n<li>Claim Reward (5 Ultra Bolls)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Rewards: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/pokemon-ash-snorlax-napping-sleeping-figurine-megahouse\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Snorlax<\/a> Encounter, 2,000 Stardust, 5,000 XP<\/p>\n<p>To note, this Timed Research is not all that players can enjoy during the Mega Buddy Challenge, as the event also increases the spawn rates of various Pokemon, such as Lapras, Wobbuffet, and Wailmer, and marks the debut of Shiny Doduo. Additionally, there is special Field Research attached to the event, and fans that complete those tasks will receive <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-go-get-mega-energy\/\">Mega Energy<\/a> for Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, and Beedrill.<\/p>\n<p>One last thing to mention is that players can still complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-go-mega-discovery-special-research-tasks-rewards\/\">A Mega Discovery Special Research<\/a> if they have not already, and it grants quite a lot of Beedrill Mega Energy.
