Civilization\u00a06<\/b><\/em> developer Firaxis Games released a quick overview of the Gauls, one of the new civilizations\u00a0coming to the strategy game, led by Ambiorix.<\/p>\n

Together with Byzantium, Gaul\u00a0is part of the third content pack releasing through\u00a0Civilization 6’s<\/em> New Frontier Pass.\u00a0At a retail price of $39.99 USD, the New Frontier Pass is comparable to season passes<\/a>\u00a0from\u00a0other\u00a0live-service games. The pass includes\u00a0six content packs set to release every two months until March 2021, and two packs\u00a0are already available: The Maya & Gran Colombia Pack, and the Ethiopia Pack. Each adds at least one new civilization, as well as\u00a0a variety of new content such as leaders for existing civilizations and new game modes.<\/p>\n

At first glance,\u00a0longtime\u00a0Civilization\u00a0<\/em>players might compare the Gauls to the previous game’s Celts. There\u00a0is some overlap between the two, as both appear built for\u00a0\u00a0early-game dominance, and both fought grueling historical wars against Rome. The similarities end there, however, as\u00a0the Celts of\u00a0Civilization 5<\/em> largely focused on forest terrain and early faith-based wars, while Gaul’s primary strategy hinges on production and culture<\/a>.<\/p>\n
