Somewhat hated and loved among fans, Nuka-World<\/em> is Fallout<\/em>‘s latest\u00a0colorful and wild DLC,\u00a0adding yet more content to the already content-packed Fallout 4<\/em><\/a>. Filled with cool niche weapons and brand new wasteland-themed enemies, the DLC brings the Sole Survivor into a rundown amusement park.<\/p>\n

Although Nuka-World<\/em> isn’t particularly big, there’s still quite a bit to see and discover in the park and its surrounding desert area. For players looking to revisit the DLC or just new players who are only now\u00a0embarking on this adventure,\u00a0there are\u00a0a few details that often go unnoticed even by the sharpest eyes.<\/p>\n

10 <\/span>You Can Ride Some Of The Rides<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

One would imagine that the rides in Nuka-World are beyond salvation after weathering a literal nuclear bomb. However, this couldn’t be further from the truth. Some of these cool-looking rides can actually be interacted with and ridden once the player has finished the main quest.<\/p>\n

Namely, the Nuka-Galaxy ride in the Galactic Zone, as well as the Ferris wheel in Kiddie Kingdom, can be interacted with and provide a surprisingly\u00a0fun experience. Just make sure that Nuka-World’s main power is one, because without it these rides are just permanently offline.<\/p>\n

9 <\/span>The Problem Solver<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

When the player first begins their journey in Nuka-World, they’ll be forced into some pretty big boots: they’re now effectively the boss of everyone. However, as expected from raiders<\/a>, they’ll need to actually earn everyone’s respect and trust before it’s smooth sailing for the gangs of Nuka-World.<\/p>\n

It’s why Porter Gage<\/a> sends the player to speak with the gang leaders, including Pack leader Mason who’s undoubtedly the most aggressive. Many players actually miss out on a cool opportunity with him to get unique rifle The Problem Solver. Choose all the aggressive dialogue options when speaking with him and pass the final speech check in order to score this super unique and colorful weapon. After that, it’s impossible to get it anywhere.<\/p>\n

8 <\/span>Han Solo Easter Egg<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Easter eggs<\/a> are rampant in many big games, but not all of them are immediately discovered by players. Sometimes it might even take years before anyone discovers them, which goes to show that the developers really have fun when designing these games and their various locations.<\/p>\n

This Han Solo easter egg, straight from the Return of the Jedi<\/em><\/a>, isn’t in a super obvious location. It’s found in the headquarters of the Disciples, at the very top of their little tower structure. It definitely fits the theme of the location.<\/p>\n

7 <\/span>Super Niche Weapons<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Nuka-World is a DLC perfect for players who want cool, quirky and inventive ways to play the game in a different style. That includes having weapons that might be extremely niche or inconvenient, but which will definitely elicit a chuckle from the player when used. It might not be among the most powerful weapons<\/a>, but at least they’re funny.<\/p>\n

The Paddle ball (found at the Nuka-Cade) and Thirst Zapper (required to enter Nuka-World) are two very cool unique weapons which can be modded to have a Nuka-Cola Quantum effect with the Project Cobalt schematics found underneath the World of Refreshment at the bottling plant. Alternatively, the Acid Soaker (also at the Nuka-Cade) is one of the sillier unique weapons also found in the DLC, but hard to come by.<\/p>\n

6 <\/span>Dry Rock Gulch Employee Area<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Many players might find it hard to believe just how small Dry Rock Gulch feels like compared to the rest of the parks, and that’s because there’s an entire closed off employee area located slightly adjacent and outside of the actual park itself.<\/p>\n

This place is easy to brush off initially, because entering is impossible until power is back on in the park and no side quests<\/a> take the player there. That being said, some players have managed to climb to this place using the rocks nearby to access it, so it is in fact possible to get inside before the end of the Power Play quest. The entrance itself is pretty well concealed behind bushes, making it easy to miss.<\/p>\n

5 <\/span>Dark Souls Easter Egg<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

There’s no shortage of games out there that refer to the iconic Dark Souls<\/em><\/a> franchise. The series has become well-known for its unique aesthetic and timeless combat system, as well as extremely inventive enemy and map design. It’s no wonder so many developers have decided to pay their homage to the series.<\/p>\n

Fallout 4<\/em> isn’t any different, and Nuka-World was the place to do it, too. The reference to the classic bonfire can be found in Bradberton, the town just slightly northeast of the park itself.\u00a0It’s in one of the rundown lit up houses when arriving to the town from the southern side.<\/p>\n

4 <\/span>Nuka-Love Drink<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Bethesda has always been great at showing how much it loves and cares for its fans, and the fact that Evan the wastelander exists in Nuka-World is a great example of that. He’s an essential character living on the outskirts of the map by a trailer. He’s actually a tribute to a fan’s brother who passed away, and the original fan is a Reddit user by the name of NoohjXLVII.<\/p>\n

When speaking to Evan, he’ll offer the player a special Nuka-Love recipe, which is another rare item in the DLC. Nuka-Love is a great consumable to have for character builds that rely on AP, as it restores +300 AP and +100 HP.<\/p>\n

3 <\/span>Aeternus<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Inevitably, someone is bound to come through the Gauntlet just as the Sole Survivor<\/a> did, and the player will then have to take the role of Overboss Colter by defeating anyone who dares to come through as a challenger. This is a repeating quest known as Amoral Combat.<\/p>\n

The quest is only available after The Grand Tour has been finished, and can be triggered randomly when passing gang members. There’s nine different challengers that can come through, but the best one is without a doubt the Rogue knight, who upon defeat drops the Aeternus<\/a>, an incredibly powerful Gatling laser.<\/p>\n

2 <\/span>Nuka-Girl Rocket Suit<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

For players looking for something a little bit more unique and different, rest assured Nuka-World is filled to the brim with cool outfits and costumes that completely fit the whole theme of the gangs, as well as any of the parks. From Oswald’s costume to the cowboy costume, there’s a bunch to choose from.<\/p>\n

However, for a very special and rare costume, head to Nuka Galaxy in the Galactic Zone. Inside the station, there’s a moving animatronic of Nuka-Girl wearing her space suit. The suit is unique and actually lets the player breathe underwater as well as bumps their charisma by +1.<\/p>\n

1 <\/span>Arriving As Silver Shroud<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Who would completely fit in the Nuka-World setting? That’s right, the Silver Shroud. Those who have completed this quest and are in possession of the Shroud costume should absolutely enter the park while wearing it, as it will unlock some very interesting dialogue options.<\/p>\n

Head to Dry Rock Gulch, and speak to the Protectrons there. The player will have additional dialogue with them as the Protectrons recognize them as the Shroud himself, and will even thank him for lending his skills in keeping the peace in Dry Rock Gulch. It’s small things\u00a0like this that really make a difference in the DLC.<\/p>\n
