Not long after, Amazon warned that <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/ps5-pre-order-delays-amazon\/\">PS5 pre-orders may be delayed<\/a> and not arrive on the November 12 launch day as expected. Now Amazon has sent out a similar warning in regards to the Xbox Series X, meaning some consumers, even with their pre-orders secured, may still have to wait a little longer than expected to play their next-generation console.<\/p>\n<p>Amazon&#8217;s warning about <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/xbox-series-x\/\">Xbox Series X<\/a> pre-order delays was posted online by Wario64, and has been emailed to many who have pre-ordered the console through the online retail giant. The warning states that there is a chance that those with pre-orders may not receive the Xbox Series X on launch day &#8220;due to high demand.&#8221; However, it also says that Amazon is &#8220;making every effort&#8221; to ensure that it has enough Xbox Series X consoles to meet that demand.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/nvidia-rtx-3090-xbox-series-x-size-comparison\/\">RTX 3090 Size Comparison Shows How Big GPU is Compared to Xbox Series X<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Anyone that has pre-ordered a video game console through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/amazon-luna-huge-advantage-over-stadia\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Amazon<\/a> in the past will know that this is nothing new. But it doesn&#8217;t necessarily mean that they won&#8217;t get their Xbox Series X console on launch day. This message is more or less just a way for Amazon to cover its bases in case there are issues getting anyone their pre-ordered console.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Wario64\/status\/1309630473983782913\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Those that do have an <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/xbox-series-x-s-pre-order-approved-all-access-customers\/\">Xbox Series X pre-order<\/a> through Amazon are still in better shape than those who don&#8217;t have a pre-order at all, but it should be noted that there may be a chance to get the console on launch day regardless. Microsoft has promised that there will be Xbox Series X and S stock available in stores at launch, but one has to imagine that those will be available in\u00a0very limited supply as well. Anyone that plans on buying a console in stores without a pre-order will want to try to get in line as early as possible.<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, it will be interesting to see which next-generation console is more readily available in the weeks after launch. Both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X have proven to be hugely popular, with Microsoft reporting unprecedented demand for the Xbox Series X console, so both may be hard to come by for consumers.
