The presentation revealed new features coming to <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/ni-no-kuni-cross-worlds\/\"><em>Cross Worlds<\/em><\/a>, as well as the game&#8217;s focus on high-quality animation.<\/p>\n<p><em>Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds<\/em> is the latest entry in a franchise created by the Level-5 in 2010, which\u00a0has seen two single-player role-playing games, a few Japan-only mobile spin-offs, and a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/the-ni-no-kuni-movie-is-coming-to-netflix-and-soon\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">poorly-received animated film<\/a>.\u00a0The series is known for having Studio Ghibli work on the\u00a0original game&#8217;s cutscenes, and though\u00a0it is not involved in\u00a0<em>Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds<\/em>, Level-5 is no stranger to releasing mobile\u00a0installments its properties, including\u00a0<em>Professor Layton<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Yokai Watch.\u00a0<\/em><em>Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds<\/em> is being developed by Netmarble, known for games like\u00a0<em>Marvel: Future Fight<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"related-single\">RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/dragon-quest-11-s-definitive-edition-tgs-2020-trailer\/\">Dragon Quest 11 S: Echoes of an Elusive Age Definitive Edition Gets New TGS Trailer<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The released footage for the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/ni-no-kuni-mobile-mmorpg\/\"><em>Ni no Kuni<\/em> mobile game announced this\u00a0August<\/a> includes a look at character classes, companions known as familiars, a kingdom-building system, and the game&#8217;s visuals.\u00a0Towards the end, the hosts of the stream enter\u00a0a three-on-three PvP event, which tasks teams with rounding up creatures known as Higgledies. The broadcast also introduced the game&#8217;s plot, which centers around a character who lives in a near-future version of Earth and\u00a0enters a virtual reality simulation depicting the world of\u00a0<em>Ni no Kuni<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/UK1hHnbF-VY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The game has not been confirmed for a Western release. Since\u00a0the series&#8217; main titles\u00a0have all released globally, including a <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/ni-no-kuni-wrath-of-the-white-witch-remaster-review\/\">well-received\u00a0remaster of the original<\/a> in 2019, there may be a chance of a future Western release. Yet\u00a0the\u00a0broadcast clarifies at multiple points that promotions for the game\u00a0are intended for\u00a0Japanese audiences only. Level-5 did not release\u00a0its previous MMO\u00a0<em>Fantasy Life Online<\/em>\u00a0globally, which suggests that the company may hesitate to localize\u00a0this one\u00a0as well.<\/p>\n<p>The game developers and hosts pointed out the effort put into the game&#8217;s visuals, and it&#8217;s not hard to see why. Character models and animations for\u00a0main characters and the NPCs that populate the world are clearly well made. The trailer also shows multiple\u00a0environmental shots, suggesting that the game&#8217;s scenery will look just as good as the characters.<\/p>\n<p>Still, given the game runs on mobile devices, the visuals and performance may suffer on smaller, or older devices.
