Another of these games has been <strong><em>Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity<\/em><\/strong>, and these sneak peeks at the upcoming title\u00a0have gotten\u00a0some fans more excited for the game&#8217;s release in a couple of months.<\/p>\n<p>The next\u00a0<em>Zelda<\/em> game follows the style of the first <em>Hyrule Warriors<\/em>, but\u00a0<em>Age of Calamity<\/em> will be set in the world <em>Breath of the Wild<\/em>\u00a0established. This prequel to the popular <em>Legend of Zelda<\/em> Switch game\u00a0will offer\u00a0more background to the events that brought about Calamity Ganon in the way players see in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/hyrule-warriors-age-of-calamity-training-sword-legend-of-zelda-breath-wild-save-data\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Breath of the Wild<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/hyrule-warriors-age-calamity-playable-characters\/\">5 Characters We Hope Are Playable In Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity (&amp; 5 We Hope Are DLC)<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>During the Tokyo Game Show, <em>Age of Calamity<\/em> Producer Yosuke Hayashi and Director Ryouta Matasushita participated in a stream which showed off <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/hyrule-warriors-age-of-calamity-tokyo-game-show-trailer-playable-characters\/\"><em>Age of Calamity<\/em>&#8216;s\u00a0playable characters<\/a>, mainly focusing on the abilities of Daruk and Impa. Hayashi and Matasushita talked about fans&#8217; responses to the game, and expressed that they are happy to see such a positive response\u00a0so far. Matasushita specifically said that he is happy that fans think Impa is cute, and have called her such online.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/IWn1FUyKywM?start=15827&#038;feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>In the first <em>Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity<\/em> stream at\u00a0Tokyo Game Show 2020, <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/hyrule-warriors-age-of-calamity-impa-gameplay\/\">Impa<\/a> was revealed to be a playable character, showing off her Sheikah style of fighting. Many fans have commented on Impa&#8217;s character model, pointing out that it looks almost identical to Paya, Impa&#8217;s granddaughter in <em>Breath of the Wild<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Some players hope that the game will allow Paya and Impa to fight alongside each other in <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/hyrule-warriors-age-of-calamity\/\"><em>Age of Calamity<\/em><\/a>&#8216;s co-op mode, as the first game brought in playable characters that didn&#8217;t necessarily make sense with the game&#8217;s main story. However, there is no word from the developers on these hopes.<\/p>\n<p>Though fans only have to wait another two months for <em>Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity<\/em> to be released, there are still more questions that they are interested in seeing\u00a0answered.
