Many in the gaming community have long anticipated the remake of the cult classic\u00a0Demon’s\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Souls<\/em><\/strong>. Since the game’s initial release back in 2009, it not only became the precursor to the popular\u00a0Dark Souls\u00a0<\/em>series, but also received a sizable, dedicated group of fans. Now, with the remake of\u00a0Demon’s Souls<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>just a couple months away from its release, some disconcerting news has begun to surface.<\/p>\n

Ever since Bluepoint Games<\/a> initially unveiled the existence of the\u00a0Demon’s Souls\u00a0<\/em>remake during the PS5 reveal event, numerous fans of the original game have been eagerly looking forward to the game’s release later this year. Bluepoint’s remake of\u00a0Shadow of the Colossus\u00a0<\/em>was well received by many in the gaming community, thus making the remake of\u00a0Demon’s Souls\u00a0<\/em>highly anticipated by numerous fans. Though, fans may not be playing the game at the quality they want to.<\/p>\n

According to a recent report made by Digital Foundry, the remake of\u00a0Demon’s Souls\u00a0<\/em>will not meet the standard next-gen expectations in terms of graphical quality. All next-gen games are expected to run at 4K 60fps, whereas\u00a0Demon’s Souls\u00a0<\/em>can reportedly only run at 1440p 60fps. This news comes in stark contrast to the impressive gameplay footage of Demon’s Souls<\/em> shown at the recent PS5 event<\/a>.<\/p>\n

For those who care immensely about video quality and frame rates, if this news is true, then it is rather unfortunate. Especially considering that there are currently no plans to port the Demon’s Souls<\/em> remake to PC<\/a>, thus there will be no way for players to access widespread mods to enhance the graphics to the quality that they want and their monitor or television supports.<\/p>\n
