Its impact will apparently be evident in the company&#8217;s next release, <em><strong>Assassin&#8217;s Creed Valhalla<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The past few months have seen Ubisoft executives step down as harassment and sexism allegations started coming up against the company, and <em>Assassin&#8217;s Creed<\/em> female writers spoke out about being bullied for writing female characters\u00a0that ultimately\u00a0had diminished roles. The <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/assassins-creed-origins-aya-voice-actor-diminished-role\/\">voice actor for Aya\/Amunet<\/a>\u00a0also recently opened up about how her role being cut on the <em>Assassin&#8217;s Creed<\/em> Sisterhood podcast.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/assassins-creed-sisterhood-speaks-origins-aya-cleopatra-alix-wilton-regan-zora-bishop\/\">Assassin&#8217;s Creed Sisterhood Speaks Podcast Talks With Origins&#8217; Aya and Cleopatra<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Recently, the <em>Assassin&#8217;s Creed<\/em> community came together to <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/assassins-creed-origins-aya-amunet-rome-sisterhood-symbol\/\">celebrate female assassins with a Sisterhood symbol<\/a>\u00a0that\u00a0combines Egyptian aesthetics with a looping snake to represent rebirth and transformation. Now, that symbol is becoming an official part of the <em>Assassin&#8217;s Creed<\/em> universe by being incorporated into\u00a0<em>Assassin&#8217;s Creed Valhalla<\/em> as a customizable tattoo.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/assassinscreed\/status\/1310616045288333313\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/assassins-creed-sisterhood-raising-money-girls-makes-games\/\"><em>Assassin&#8217;s Creed<\/em> Sisterhood is raising money for charity<\/a> in an effort to pay forward the efforts of\u00a0the community and help right the wrongs of sexism within video game\u00a0companies. The initiative is selling a pin of the same design that is becoming a tattoo in\u00a0<em>Assassin&#8217;s Creed Valhalla<\/em>, and\u00a0all proceeds are going to Girls Make Games, an organization that helps teach young girls coding skills to get them into currently underrepresented roles the video games industry.<\/p>\n<p>The official\u00a0<em>Assassin&#8217;s Creed<\/em> Twitter broke the news in a move to bring community and official developers together, referencing it as a\u00a0&#8220;collaboration.&#8221; While this is a community-kickstarted effort, it&#8217;s still great to see the company officially recognizing that\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/iran-sanctions-gaming-sexism\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">sexism is prevalent in video games<\/a>. Though it&#8217;s a small step, it&#8217;s still a step in the right direction.<\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/assassins-creed-valhalla\/\">Assassin&#8217;s Creed Valhalla<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>will have multiple tattoos available that are inspired by historical Viking tattoos. While that isn&#8217;t the inspiration behind the Sisterhood tattoo, it is worth pointing out that this is a fantasy game with\u00a0plenty of other asynchronous elements present due to its overall theming.
