Hearthstone\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>players can expect some changes coming to the game in next week’s update, as devs take aim at two of the game’s problematic cards<\/a>. This of course refers to Tortollan Pilgrim and Guardian Animals, both of which received nerfs that are likely to change the way players go about using them. Beyond this, player MMR is also being reset in order to make room for a new player rating system being introduced this update.<\/p>\n

As usual,\u00a0Hearthstone<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>players that spent dust\u00a0on Tortollan Pilgrim or Guardian Animals will be eligible for a refund on those cards after the nerf. This offer will last for two weeks after the update launches, hopefully giving players plenty of time to decide if they want to hold onto either card in the meantime.<\/p>\n

Tortollan Pilgrim used to discover a copy of a spell within the player’s deck and cast it on random targets, an ability that, when paired with the potion of illusion, would allow Turtle Mage Decks to get tons of Tortollan Pilgrims and continue the loop. On the other hand, Guardian Animals is a druid spell<\/a> allows the player to summon two beasts that cost 5 mana or lower and give them rush. This card used to cost 7 mana but after the update it will be upped to cost 8 mana.<\/p>\n
