While the overall presentation was short, offering a trailer before touching upon a few additions like co-op Dynamax Adventures that let players catch Legendary Pokemon, it ended with a music video by Japanese rock band Bump of Chicken that long-time fans of the franchise are sure to appreciate.<\/p>\n<p>This music video, made for a song called &#8220;GOTCHA!,&#8221; starts innocently\u00a0with animated members of the band walking down a set of train tracks like\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/stand-by-me-movie-stephen-king-childhood-true-story\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Rob Reiner&#8217;s\u00a0<em>Stand By Me<\/em><\/a><em>\u00a0<\/em>before cutting to the life story of a pair of trainers with a Pikachu and Eevee. Key moments from the series are also animated, from\u00a0the fight\u00a0against Red on Mt. Silver in <em>Pokemon Gold<\/em> and <em>Silver<\/em> to a Gigantamax battle against Leon in <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/pokemon-sword\/\"><em>Pokemon Sword<\/em><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/pokemon-shield\/\"><em>Shield<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/BoZ0Zwab6Oc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Anyone who has ever played a <em>Pokemon<\/em> game will likely be able to draw\u00a0something meaningful out of the music video. It is visually\u00a0packed to the brim with expressive animation by BONES Inc., an anime company known for its huge catalog including shows like <em>Fullmetal Alchemist<\/em>, <em>Soul Eater<\/em>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-anime-my-hero-academia-goh-zeno-robinson\/\"><em>My Hero Academia<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Though this was included as the end segment for an informational piece about the Crown Tundra DLC, it&#8217;s readily apparent that The Pokemon Company wanted something to serve like an anthem.\u00a0The song and its accompanying music video\u00a0read like a celebration of the series through the eyes of fans that have stuck by it, which is fitting on the eve of <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-anniversary-2021-diamond-pearl-remakes-heartgold-soulsilver-ports-sword-shield-dlc\/\"><em>Pokemon<\/em>&#8216;s 25th anniversary next year<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Many of those long-time players will likely\u00a0appreciate the gesture as they wait to get their hands on <em>Sword<\/em> and <em>Shield<\/em>&#8216;s second\u00a0expansion next month, which includes\u00a0new features\u00a0like\u00a0Star Tournaments that let them team up with popular Galar trainers.
