Spelunky 2<\/strong><\/em> was only just released on\u00a0PS4 a couple of weeks ago, but players are already learning how to fly through the game at impressive speeds. The original Spelunky<\/em> was a highly competitive speedrunning game, and it looks like Spelunky 2<\/em><\/a> will be as well.<\/p>\n

Spelunky 2<\/em> is a rather difficult game. There’s a certain mix of excitement and fear whenever a new area is discovered because death can come from anywhere. If the player hasn’t learned how to get rid of poison in Spelunky 2<\/em><\/a>,<\/em> for example, they will die in short order, before learning how to better avoid that issue on the next run. While many players are struggling to survive in the rogue-like platformer, others are beating it in record time.<\/p>\n

YouTube content creator d_tea recently uploaded a speedrun of Spelunky 2<\/em> in which they beat the game in 2 minutes 53.776 seconds. This was an “any percentage” run, meaning the only goal is to get to the end as quickly as possible. Most games that are speedrun have various categories, with Super Mario 64<\/em> speedrunning<\/a> being a prime example of this (120 Stars, 70 Stars, 0 Star, etc.).<\/p>\n
