Apart from Howling Peaks, which is set to bring a wide assortment of new features such as new missions, items, and enemies, <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/minecraft-dungeons\/\"><em>Minecraft Dungeons<\/em><\/a> is also getting a feature that fans of the game have been asking for since its release back in May.<\/p>\n<p>Now, players on the PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One should be happy to know that developer Mojang confirmed at the live event that <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/minecraft-dungeons-crossplay\/\"><em>Minecraft Dungeons<\/em> is now a cross-play game<\/a>. In the trailer for Howling Peaks, the\u00a0demo of the upcoming DLC pack is being played via cross-platform play, confirming that players on every platform that <em>Minecraft Dungeons<\/em> is in will be able to play with one another via online multiplayer. The DLC expansion will introduce a new boss called the Tempest Golem, who &#8220;creates a storm of howling winds from the top of perilous peaks.&#8221; Alongside the Howling Peaks DLC is a free update that introduces Apocalypse Plus, which is a set of 20 new difficulties that adds significant challenges to the game while also increasing the power ceiling for characters.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Minecraft\/status\/1312432849442742272?s=20\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Of course, the unveiling of Howling Peaks and other updates coming to <em>Minecraft Dungeons<\/em>\u00a0puts to rest rumors that the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/minecraft-dungeons-creeping-winter-dlc-details\/\">latest DLC called Creeping Winter<\/a> would be the last expansion for the game. To the uninitiated, Creeping Winter was just released last month and it revolves around a never-ending winter that threatens to take over the world. Creeping Winter also introduced a new enemy called the Wretched Wraith, which is the creature behind the spreading winter that players must defeat to save the world.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile,\u00a0it has been announced recently that Steve from <em>Minecraft<\/em> is coming to <em>Super Smash Bros. Ultimate<\/em>. Although the news of Steve joining the roster of fighters in <em>Super Smash Bros. Ultimate<\/em> has shocked the video game community, an ex-developer at Mojang revealed that the crossover has been in the works for a long time now. This claim was also backed by Smash Bros. director Masahiro Sakurai, who said that he didn&#8217;t even think this day would come, suggesting that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/minecraft-steve-smash-ultimate\/\">having <em>Minecraft&#8217;s<\/em> Steve in <em>Super Smash Bros.
