Super Smash Bros. Ultimate<\/em><\/strong> has finally had its newest character reveal with Steve from Minecraft<\/em> joining the game\u2019s massive roster. The announcement came from a recent Super Smash Bros. Ultimate <\/em>DLC fighter reveal<\/a>\u00a0live stream hosted by the game\u2019s director, Masahiro Sakurai.<\/p>\n

Another livestream was hosted that showed off Steve\u2019s entire move set and announced the next wave of amiibo figures including Banjo and Kazooie, Terry Bogard, and Byleth. Unfortunately for Fire Emblem: Three Houses<\/em> fans, it seems that only the male version of Byleth is getting an official Super Smash Bros. Ultimate<\/em><\/a> amiibo.<\/p>\n

For those who aren\u2019t familiar with Byleth as a character, they are the player-controlled character from the hit Switch title\u00a0Fire Emblem: Three Houses<\/em>. In Three Houses<\/em>, players can choose to control either a male or female version of Byleth throughout the game. As such, Sakurai made it so that players could choose a male or female Byleth in Smash Ultimate<\/em> as well. Though some Smash<\/em> fans weren\u2019t happy with Byleth\u2019s<\/a> inclusion in Smash Ultimate<\/em>, there\u2019s no denying that Three Houses<\/em> performed incredibly well for Nintendo.<\/p>\n

Now, it seems that Fire Emblem<\/em> fans may have a reason to be upset, as the game\u2019s director has confirmed that only the male version of Byleth will receive an amiibo. It\u2019s an interesting case, as there are two other Fire Emblem <\/em>avatar protagonists<\/a> representatives in Ultimate<\/em> in Robin and Corrin. Both of these characters allow players to pick female versions, however only Corrin was given a female amiibo alongside the male version. Only the male amiibo version of Robin was released, similar to Byleth now.<\/p>\n
