For those that enjoy bringing their blocky adventures into the real world, new content is on the way to Minecraft Earth<\/em><\/strong>. Mojang Studios announced players <\/span>will soon be able to use the power of pistons in their augmented reality experience. The item will be added during an update planned for next week.<\/p>\n

The recent Minecraft Live 2020 show provided details on what’s coming to the Minecraft<\/em> <\/a>universe. The addition of both pistons and sticky pistons was announced through the show and was later posted through the company’s official Twitter. As longtime players know, pistons are blocks that can push other blocks, players, and mobs. It should make for an interesting addition to augmented reality.<\/p>\n

One of the most exciting parts of the show was the community vote, which allows players to decide on new content. This year, the vote was for a new Minecraft<\/em> mob. They had three choices: a Moobloom, the Icologer, or a Glow Squid. The community voted, and the results show that the Glow Squid will be added to Minecraft<\/em><\/a>.<\/em> There’s no timeline yet on when exactly it will be added, but it may be part of the newly announced Caves & Cliffs update.<\/p>\n
