With less than 5\u00a0hours to go, plenty of people are already excitedly leaving likes and comments on the official video stream.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement is expected to reveal that the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/amd\/\">AMD<\/a> CPUs will be using the Ryzen 5000 Series brand name, apparently leaving the 4000 Series to cover mobile processors, and APU chips with\u00a0CPU and graphics processors combined. Early indications\u00a0suggest that AMD will be focusing on improving both clock speeds and the number of instructions each core can process per cycle (IPC), hoping to surpass Intel in gaming performance, the one area where Intel has a very slight advantage at present.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/amd-rx-6000-graphics-cards-specifications-leaked\/\">AMD RX 6000 Graphics Cards Specifications Leaked<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>With the Ryzen 3000 Series already dominating in terms of sales, and a wait until 2021 for <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/intel-logo-11-gen\/\">Intel&#8217;s new 11th generation Rocket Lake processors<\/a>, the general expectation is that Zen 3 will only enhance AMDs current\u00a0strength in the desktop market. With that in mind, it&#8217;s not surprising that the official video stream has over 8,500 likes with over\u00a0four hours to go at the time of writing, with many comments suggesting that Intel are not looking forward to the announcement. To watch the reveal once it is active, use the video embedded below.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/iuiO6rqYV4o?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0stream subtitle of &#8220;Where Gaming Begins&#8221; certainly supports the expectation that the redesigned processor will be aiming to surpass Intel in high-end gaming performance. Indeed, reports have suggested the flagship Ryzen 5000 CPU could reach as high as 4.9 GHz before overclocking, which would certainly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/maingear-intel-10th-gen-core-i9-10900k-pre-order\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">challenge even the Intel i9-10900K for gaming<\/a>, given that the former is likely to have 16 cores, versus 10 on the Intel chip. Given that the new processors will be compatible with existing B450, X470, B550, and X570 motherboards, upgrading to faster gaming performance is going to be very simple for many existing Ryzen users.<\/p>\n<p>Gaming has been the one slight weakness of the all-conquering Ryzen 3000 Series, and if AMD can truly equal or surpass Intel here, it will turn heads in the high-end gaming PC market.
