They&#8217;ve done this in the form of their\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/indie-games-major-success-stories\/\">surprise hit<\/a>\u00a0<em>Overcooked<\/em>, and its even more beefed-up sequel. This has spawned a number of similar efforts \u2013 though there are also titles predating it, which\u00a0ring similar in some way. Let&#8217;s get cooking and take a look at titles\u00a0<em>Overcooked\u00a0<\/em>fans should love. Thus, it seemed appropriate to add even more flavor to this list with some delectable\u00a0<em>Overcooked<\/em>-esque titles.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"item-title\"><span class=\"item-num\">12 <\/span>Among Us<\/h2>\n<figure><img src='https:\/\/static0.gamerantimages.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Among-Us-Kill-In-Navigation-Room.jpg' \/><\/figure>\n<p>This creative indie from Innersloth simultaneously provides whimsical party game charm while injecting gamers with grim, ongoing doubts as to who they can trust.\u00a0<em>Among Us\u00a0<\/em>blends a slew of unique minigames with detective work and social gameplay. Despite being a 2018 release, the game&#8217;s popularity took off thanks to the attention brought by various YouTubers and <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/best-twitch-streamers-action-gamers\/\">Twitch Streamers<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Players will be forced to tackling various bite-sized games throughout their spaceship &#8211; with minigames ranging from attaching colored wires to gingerly swiping cards. At the same time, the crew must deal with the looming danger of murderous Impostors and sniff them out.<\/p>\n<p>On the other side &#8211; the Impostors must craftily blend in and deflect any attention while taking out enough of the ship&#8217;s crew so that they either outnumber them or sabotage the ship.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"item-title\"><span class=\"item-num\">11 <\/span>Snipperclips: Cut It Out Together!<\/h2>\n<figure><img src='https:\/\/static3.gamerantimages.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Snipperclips-Basketball.jpeg' \/><\/figure>\n<p>This uniquely charming game has the vibe of a cooperative puzzler cobbled together with a virtual elementary school art project. This delightful romp by SFB Games will have players working together to solve a number of puzzles and complete tasks &#8211; often\u00a0through goofy, yuk-invoking ways.<\/p>\n<p>The game inspires communication, creativity, and improvisation &#8211; as players will be given little information with which to work through their tasks through physics-based moves and ample snipping, triggered by overlapping shapes.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"item-title\"><span class=\"item-num\">10 <\/span>Joggernauts<\/h2>\n<figure><img src='https:\/\/static0.gamerantimages.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Joggernauts-Multiplayer.jpg' \/><\/figure>\n<p>On the surface, a <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/forgotten-platformers-need-a-reboot\/\">sidescrolling platformer<\/a> might seem like a far cry from a cooking-based party romp. Bringing the right color forward\u00a0allows players to progress, while mismatching the colors often leads to a swift death or pitfall.\u00a0<em>Joggernauts\u00a0<\/em>is truly a fun, innovative spin on the puzzler\/platformer, especially when coordinating with other players.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"item-title\"><span class=\"item-num\">9 <\/span>Surgeon Simulator 2<\/h2>\n<figure><img src='https:\/\/static1.gamerantimages.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/surgeon-simulator-2-release-date-announcement.jpg' \/><\/figure>\n<p>Like\u00a0the\u00a0<em>Overcooked\u00a0<\/em>games, this is a similarly-frantic arcade-style sim that will have multiple players fumbling through various tasks.\u00a0While messing up in Team17&#8217;s partier only yields angry, hungry customers,\u00a0<em>Surgeon Simulator 2\u00a0<\/em>puts <em>lives<\/em> on the line. These high stakes, coupled with some precise controls and tricky surgical procedures, makes for a uniquely tense experience.<\/p>\n<p>This sequel to the 2013 sleeper hit ups the ante in terms of depth and difficulty, injecting cooperative gameplay and a story mode that further immerses players. Like\u00a0<em>Overcooked<\/em>, the cartoony\u00a0visuals and animation provide some yuks.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"item-title\"><span class=\"item-num\">8 <\/span>Human Fall Flat<\/h2>\n<figure><img src='https:\/\/static1.gamerantimages.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/ss-50d34bf8e2fbc4aafca961f2468bdc95e616b04a.1920x1080-1.jpg' \/><\/figure>\n<p>Speaking of humorous gameplay \u2013 this <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/best-innovative-indie-platformers-games\/\">indie gem<\/a> from No Brakes Games seemingly fell out of nowhere.\u00a0<em>Human Fall Flat\u00a0<\/em>has\u00a0largely flown under the radar even to this day, despite some inventive physics and puzzle-based platforming. Just a brief look at the stumbling, doughy avatars is enough to sense that we&#8217;re\u00a0in for a unique and wild ride here.<\/p>\n<p>Players will team up in groups of stretchy, staggering figures who struggle to even run or jump. Fumbling with the drunken physics proves both challenging and hilarious \u2013 as players drag, hop, and fall around while messing with platforms and contraptions that trigger the next part of the stage.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"item-title\"><span class=\"item-num\">7 <\/span>39 Days To Mars<\/h2>\n<figure><img src='https:\/\/static1.gamerantimages.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/39-Days-to-Mars-Co-Op-Multiplayer-Ship.jpg' \/><\/figure>\n<p>This hand-drawn puzzler is a huge departure from the colorful\u00a0<em>Overcooked\u00a0<\/em>\u2013\u00a0and most\u00a0<em>other\u00a0<\/em>games for that matter. Still,\u00a0the emphasis of multiplayer communication and multitasking here certainly has some overlap.\u00a0<em>39 Days to Mars<\/em>\u00a0has players tinkering with a number of weird, inventive puzzles in order to progress and repair their <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/games-best-steampunk-themed\/\">steampunk ship<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\">RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/best-co-op-games-different-genres\/\">The 10 Best Co-Op Games From 10 Different Genres\u00a0<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The campaign is slim, but the &#8220;outside the box&#8221; thinking and juggling of several tasks ensure there will be\u00a0<em>much\u00a0<\/em>time spent experimenting. Objectives span from controlling a space bicycle to fixing some tea. Like Team17&#8217;s game,\u00a0<em>39 Days to Mars\u00a0<\/em>truly thrives when collaborating \u2013 even if it can\u00a0<em>technically\u00a0<\/em>be played alone.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"item-title\"><span class=\"item-num\">6 <\/span>Tools Up!<\/h2>\n<figure><img src='https:\/\/static3.gamerantimages.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Tools-Up-Co-Op-Building.jpg' \/><\/figure>\n<p>The Knights of Unity&#8217;s\u00a0<em>Tools Up!\u00a0<\/em>is to home renovation what\u00a0<em>Overcooked\u00a0<\/em>is to cooking and baking. Outside the vastly-different\u00a0motifs, the core gameplay rings quite similar to Team17&#8217;s party game.<\/p>\n<p>Though the experience is a bit rough around the edges, scrambling with a friend to move furniture and tear down wallpaper proves surprisingly fun. It&#8217;s an amusing alternative for\u00a0<em>Overcooked\u00a0<\/em>fans looking to knockout different types of tasks with a friend.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"item-title\"><span class=\"item-num\">5 <\/span>Death Squared<\/h2>\n<figure><img src='https:\/\/static1.gamerantimages.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Death-Squared-Switch-1.jpg' \/><\/figure>\n<p>Put the collaborative, multitasking gameplay of\u00a0<em>Overcooked\u00a0&amp;<\/em>\u00a0rework it into a <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/best-tetris-video-games-ever\/\">block-centric puzzler<\/a>, and\u00a0the result is\u00a0<em>Death Squared<\/em>. Just as that game has chefs fumbling with various ingredients, this puzzle game forces players to deal with a number of contraptions, electric currents, and deadly robot explosions.<\/p>\n<p>Multiple actions and triggers will need to be initiated at once, meaning players will either need to have a friend at the ready or be great at\u00a0multitasking.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"item-title\"><span class=\"item-num\">4 <\/span>Conduct Together!<\/h2>\n<figure><img src='https:\/\/static0.gamerantimages.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Conduct-Together-Switch-Train-Routes-A-and-B.jpg' \/><\/figure>\n<p>Much of the excitement of\u00a0<em>Overcooked\u00a0<\/em>comes from racing against the ticking clock and completing the job on demand. It&#8217;s much the same with this even\u00a0<em>more\u00a0<\/em>intense title, which is described as a &#8220;party railroad game.&#8221; That certainly sums it up \u2013 as <em>Conduct Together!\u00a0<\/em>takes the job of navigating trains and adds a chaotically fun twist with its fast-paced arcade gameplay.<\/p>\n<p>Players will be forced to shift from multiple points of interest, as various trains will be chugging along different paths. The goal is to guide each train to their station and pick up commuters, all while evading each other and avoiding crashes.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"item-title\"><span class=\"item-num\">3 <\/span>Cake Mania<\/h2>\n<figure><img src='https:\/\/static0.gamerantimages.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Cake-Mania.jpg' \/><\/figure>\n<p>It wouldn&#8217;t make sense to have a list discussing\u00a0<em>Overcooked<\/em>-esque games and <em>not<\/em> include a cooking romp, especially one that similarly has players scrambling to complete food orders. Still, it&#8217;s hard to beat the charm of the original, which manages to be both addictive\u00a0and accessible.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"item-title\"><span class=\"item-num\">2 <\/span>Moving Out<\/h2>\n<figure><img src='https:\/\/static1.gamerantimages.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/moving-out-gameplay.jpg' \/><\/figure>\n<p>Holding parallels to the similar\u00a0<em>Tools Up!<\/em>, this Team17-published game also takes a typically laborious job and turns it into a fun, thrilling endeavor. Described as a &#8220;moving simulator,&#8221; <em>Moving Out<\/em>\u00a0puts an arcade-style spin on the task of hauling furniture with its cartoony visuals and fast-paced gameplay.<\/p>\n<p>Players will work together on a single isometric screen to drag various items and furniture around, compiling them into a moving truck. Speed and maneuverability are stressed over strategy \u2013 though the mechanics, style, and thrilling co-op gameplay definitely invoke\u00a0<em>Overcooked\u00a0<\/em>vibes.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"item-title\"><span class=\"item-num\">1 <\/span>Catastronauts<\/h2>\n<figure><img src='https:\/\/static0.gamerantimages.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Catastronauts-for-Switch-Co-Op-Multiplayer.jpg' \/><\/figure>\n<p>Those few who have discovered this hidden gem have often called it &#8220;<em>Overcooked\u00a0<\/em>in space,&#8221; and to a degree, this is true. Though this 2018 romp from Inertia Game Studios\u00a0shines like a star with its own unique charm.
