With the PlayStation 5\u2019s cross-save situation<\/a> being developer dependent, which has caused some controversy among PlayStation players, seeing a change that is likely to be well-received is good news for the tech giant. Sony ensures that the process will go smoothly, clarifying that if Sony Rewards accounts (or any other Sony service) are listed under different e-mails, a one-time sign in using a PSN ID will change the account\u2019s info to match the PlayStation info.<\/p>\n

Creating a unified Sony through PSN is undoubtedly a smart idea given the success of the PS4 and high expectations for PS5 sales<\/a>. If players have a Sony Rewards account but no PSN ID, this will become their Sony account instead.
