The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War<\/strong><\/em> beta is approaching the end of its first, PlayStation exclusive weekend, but it will not be concluding that first week without some major changes and fixes. Today, a patch was released for Black Ops Cold War<\/em><\/a> that fixes a broken attachment and makes a major adjustment to the popular Team Deathmatch mode.<\/p>\n

While the update only addresses a few major points, it does make one of the 11 changes requested by CoD<\/em> champion ACHES<\/a>. The change in question is one regarding the most overpowered attachment in the beta: the duster stock. The attachment previously allowed for absurd dropshotting as well as another major issue that can only be described as a super slide.<\/p>\n

While players have been able to chain slides together to move quickly in other CoD<\/em> games, the slide exploit in Black Ops Cold War<\/em><\/a>\u00a0has been much more ridiculous with its boost to player movement. While nerfing the duster stock is unlikely to eliminate slide-chaining altogether, it should \u201cprevent faster sliding than intended\u201d according to Treyarch. While dropshotting still seems unaffected by the attachment changes, fans will no doubt see this update to the duster stock’s sliding ability as a major step in the right direction.<\/p>\n

Like with other major changes, Treyarch listened to community feedback on Black Ops Cold War<\/em><\/a> and adjusted the Team Deathmatch score to 100 with the update as well. As is the case with nearly every other Call of Duty<\/em>, a 75 score limit is seen as too low by the player base and the developers adjusted it accordingly. While most entries in the CoD<\/em> series wait until halfway through the game\u2019s life cycle to make the change, though, Treyarch has adjusted the score ahead of release and ensured that Team Deathmatch will have a 100 score limit on launch day.<\/p>\n
