Metroid Prime\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>is one of the most beloved sub-series within the\u00a0Metroid\u00a0<\/em>franchise. Originally released on the Nintendo GameCube,\u00a0Metroid Prime<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>quickly achieved massive success, winning numerous game of the year awards in the process. Now, it seems the developers behind the highly anticipated fourth installment have started to move onto the next phase of the game’s development.<\/p>\n

It’s been well over three years since\u00a0Metroid Prime 4<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>was confirmed to be in development. Though, since that time, additional information regarding the game’s development has been hard to come by. While Nintendo has not released any official information involving\u00a0Metroid Prime 4<\/em>, that doesn’t mean that assumptions can’t be made in terms of what Retro Studios advertises on the company website.<\/p>\n

Retro Studios recently posted three new Product Tester positions on its company website. The details of the job description are interesting in that they refer to pre-released software, but nothing specific is mentioned. Clearly, Retro Studios<\/a> doesn’t want to outright advertise that these jobs will be for\u00a0Metroid Prime 4<\/em>, but given the timing of these postings and the lack of reactive feedback regarding the release of\u00a0Metroid Prime 4<\/em>, it seems safe to assume that the development team has some sort of build of the game.<\/p>\n

Of course, it is important to note that this is just an assumption. Unless official news is announced directly by Nintendo, these job postings should be taken with a grain of salt. After all, Retro Studios might be involved with other projects outside of\u00a0Metroid Prime 4<\/em>. Perhaps this could be in reference to the potential Nintendo Switch port of the\u00a0Metroid Prime\u00a0<\/a><\/em>trilogy<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Two years after\u00a0Metroid Prime 4\u00a0<\/em>was initially announced, the entire project was scrapped and development was handed over to Retro Studios, the development team that produced the previous\u00a0Metroid Prime\u00a0<\/em>games. The company is also responsible for developing\u00a0Donkey Kong Country Returns\u00a0<\/em>and its sequel\u00a0Tropical Freeze<\/em><\/a>. With any luck, the studio will give fans some actual news regarding\u00a0Metroid Prime 4<\/em>.<\/p>\n

But after Nintendo announced that\u00a0Retro Studios would be taking over development on Metroid Prime 4\u00a0<\/em>fans have been trying to get any pieces of information that they can. The only news fans have managed to glean regarding the game’s development have been the various developers that have been recruited to the development team. Most recently, the\u00a0Metroid Prime 4\u00a0<\/em>team brought on a former developer from the\u00a0God of War<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>team at Sony Santa Monica.<\/p>\n

Metroid Prime 4\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>is currently in development.<\/p>\n
