Despite its short time\u00a0in the gaming scene,\u00a0Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>has already secured a number of cameos from some of gaming’s biggest names.\u00a0Portal 2’s\u00a0<\/em>Peabody<\/a>,\u00a0Half-Life’s\u00a0<\/em>Gordon Freeman,\u00a0Hotline Miami’s\u00a0<\/em>Chicken Costume, and\u00a0Enter the Gungeon’s\u00a0<\/em>Bullet Kin have all made an appearance so far, with fans assuming many more recognizable faces are sure to follow.<\/p>\n

The first\u00a0of Season 2’s crossover cameos is on its way, with Mediatonic revealing that Sega has teamed up with the studio to bring a Sonic the Hedgehog<\/em> skin to Fall Guys<\/em><\/a>.\u00a0The\u00a0costume will be available on October 14 and cost a hefty 10 crowns, so those who want to get their hands on it had better start racking\u00a0up some wins.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0outfit brings the Blue Blur to the game in a\u00a0fitting\u00a0<\/em>way, envisioning the character with a bean-like body and a small hole carved out for a Fall Guy-shaped face. It features several iconic aspects of Sonic’s design<\/a> too, including his long quills, pointy ears, white gloves, and bright red shoes. Seeing as the character has become something of a meme within the gaming community over the years, his new\u00a0outfit is likely\u00a0to conjure up fresh\u00a0content from\u00a0Fall Guys\u00a0<\/em>fans on social media. It’ll be intriguing\u00a0to see whether more characters will get the opportunity to guest star later into Season 2.<\/p>\n

Outside of his new\u00a0Fall Guys<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>appearance and other fun crossover content, Sonic has been notably absent from new games for some time. Sega is allegedly holding back any significant news on the character until his 30th anniversary next year, with many expecting the speedy hedgehog’s next big gaming appearance to\u00a0be fully detailed then. It will have to be something truly special, however, as many\u00a0fans of the character were displeased with the last major game in the franchise:\u00a0Sonic Forces.\u00a0<\/em>Hopefully, the team will focus on taking the series back to its roots.<\/p>\n

Until then,\u00a0fans can\u00a0enjoy Sonic through\u00a0Fall Guys <\/em>Season 2, with the character debuting in just two days’ time. Speaking of Season 2, the major expansion has brought a new medieval theme to the hit battle royale, seeing players contend with the deadly\u00a0Knight Fever obstacle course<\/a> as well as\u00a0Wall Guys, which sees\u00a0Fall Guys collaborate to navigate over high castle walls. With more content certainly on the way, the\u00a0game looks to still be offering some fun battle royale gameplay with a ton of charm.<\/p>\n
