This new set of special research tasks is named &#8216;An Inter-egg-sting Development&#8217; and is focused on Team GO Rocket and Shadow Pokemon.<\/p>\n<p>There are many different tasks involved with this special research with some possibly taking a long time to complete. This is due to these tasks in <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/pokemon-go\/\"><em>Pokemon GO<\/em><\/a> being special research tasks and not timed research that only lasts one to two weeks.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-go-get-deerling-sawsbuck-forms-spring-summer-autumn-winter\/\">Pokemon GO: How to Get Deerling and Sawsbuck Forms for Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Like many sets of special research tasks, the\u00a0main focus is on a new mechanic added to <em>Pokemon GO<\/em>. The new mechanic this time is <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-go-battle-strange-eggs-guide\/\">Strange Eggs<\/a>, which are eggs that are obtained by defeating Team GO Rocket Admins. Outside of special events, these eggs take 12 kilometers of walking in order to hatch them.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static1.gamerantimages.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Pokemon-TCG-Larvitar-Card-Art.jpg\"\/><\/figure>\n<p>There are six total stages in the new set of <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-go-shadow-mewtwo-inter-egg-sting-development\/\">Team GO Rocket Special Research<\/a>. Within them are very valuable rewards that range from items to Pokemon encounters. The first part of the special research tasks and their rewards are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Spin\u00a0Five PokeStops &#8211; 500 Stardust<\/li>\n<li>Defeat\u00a0Five <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-go-team-rocket-jessie-and-james\/\">Team GO Rocket Grunts <\/a>&#8211; 500 Stardust<\/li>\n<li>Catch\u00a0One Shadow Pokemon &#8211; Meowth Encounter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>After completing the first part of the special research tasks players will be awarded with 500 more stardust,\u00a0ten Pokeballs, and\u00a0ten Razz Berries.<\/p>\n<p>Part two of the special research tasks include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Catch\u00a0Five Shadow Pokemon &#8211; 750 XP<\/li>\n<li>Make\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-go-excellent-curveball-throw-easy\/\">Three Nice Curveball Throws<\/a> in a row &#8211; 750 XP<\/li>\n<li>Purify\u00a0Five Shadow Pokemon &#8211; 750 XP<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once all of these tasks are complete players will get the additional rewards of 1,500 stardust, ten Great Balls, and an encounter with a Larvitar.<\/p>\n<p>The third part of the special research tasks will likely take more time due to the increased difficulty and time needed to devote to the tasks. They are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Defeat a Team GO Rocket Leader\u00a0three times &#8211; 1,000 XP<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/pokemon-go-team-rocket-red-eggs-pawniard-sandile-vullaby-october-2020\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hatch three Eggs<\/a> &#8211; 1,000 XP<\/li>\n<li>Earn five Candies walking with your buddy &#8211; 1,000 XP<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>After players devote the time to complete this stage of tasks players will be awarded with 1,500 stardust, three Golden Razz Berries, and an encounter with a Toxicroak.<\/p>\n<p>Upping the challenge even more is the fourth stage of tasks. Players will definitely have to devote the time to complete this one with the tasks and rewards being:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-go-how-to-beat-arlo-august-2020-lineup-counters-weakness-defeat-rocket-leader\/\">Defeat Team GO Rocket Leader Arlo<\/a> &#8211; 1,250 XP<\/li>\n<li>Defeat Team GO Rocket Leader Cliff &#8211; 1,250 XP<\/li>\n<li>Defeat Team GO Rocket Leader Sierra &#8211; 1,250 XP<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once players defeat all of Team GO Rocket&#8217;s leaders, they will be awarded with five hyper potions, one Rocket Radar, and three revives.<\/p>\n<p>The biggest task of this special research is all that&#8217;s left. This will include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Find <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-go-beat-giovanni-how-weaknesses-counters\/\">the Team GO Rocket Boss<\/a> &#8211; 2,500 Stardust<\/li>\n<li>Battle the Team GO Rocket Boss &#8211; 1,500 XP<\/li>\n<li>Defeat the Team GO Rocket Boss &#8211; Three Silver Pinap Berries<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>After Giovanni is defeated players will get 3,000 stardust, one fast TM, and one charged TM. There are additionally other rewards that automatically come with the final step.
