With Destiny 2: Beyond Light<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0a month away from\u00a0launch, Bungie is likely putting the finishing touches on the new content. To build further anticipation for Destiny 2’s<\/em><\/a>\u00a0expansion, the developer has released new information about the next World First raid race.<\/p>\n

Bungie announced the\u00a0Destiny 2: Beyond Light<\/em>\u00a0raid will release on Saturday, November 21 at 10 a.m. PT. This\u00a0gives\u00a0players a heads up to make preparations with\u00a0their fireteams, and those who might work weekends the ability to request time off. The developer shared\u00a0more details on the event for any players planning to take the crown for Destiny 2’s<\/em> World First<\/a>\u00a0and earn a new raid belt.<\/p>\n

Bungie states the same rules from past World First raids apply for this one, and that\u00a0goes double when it concerns\u00a0disqualification, too. The Contest Mode will have Artifact powers disabled and it will restrict Destiny<\/em> player power levels<\/a>\u00a0to 20 below each encounter for 24 hours. Bungie says the goal is 1230 power for players that want to ensure that they are at the absolute maximum for Contest.<\/p>\n

While the setup is the same, the grand finale will have some tweaks. Bungie said\u00a0that it will take\u00a0more time to finalize the winner, which\u00a0means the\u00a0official announcement for the\u00a0raid winners will come a little later than usual. This is likely to ensure a valid completion from the World First team and not to award the title to a team that used cheats or hacks to get through the endgame encounters.<\/p>\n

Afterward, there will be an\u00a0award ceremony where the victorious\u00a0Destiny 2<\/em>\u00a0fireteam<\/a> is crowned World First, and every\u00a0member will receive their own raid belt. Everyone else\u00a0who\u00a0successfully completes the new Beyond Light raid\u00a0in the first 24 hours will receive a special emblem.<\/p>\n

There will also be a new raid jacket for players\u00a0who finish the raid before December 1st at 9 a.m. PT. Players will receive a code to purchase the jacket through Bungie Rewards that will remain valid until December 31 at 11:59 PM PT.<\/p>\n

Any players that complete the raid will unlock the general raid emblem. The developer continued to announce more updates to Destiny 2,<\/em> such as\u00a0improvements to\u00a0the drop rate of the\u00a0Destiny 2 <\/em>Cipher Decoders<\/a>\u00a0for Festival of the Lost.<\/p>\n

With the DLC’s release less than a month way, Bungie is building up more\u00a0anticipation for Destiny 2: Beyond Light<\/em><\/a> and the new\u00a0changes that will come with it. Obviously a new raid is one of the biggest reasons that players are excited but it’s only just one part of the package.<\/p>\n

Destiny 2: Beyond Light<\/em><\/strong> launches November 10 on PC, PS4, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. The PS5 version launches November 12.<\/p>\n
