Bungie has a lot on its plate for the future as the company focuses on <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/destiny-2-ps5-xbox-series-x-console-performance\/\"><em>Destiny 2<\/em>\u2019s next generation details<\/a> and what they mean for players using current hardware to play.<\/p>\n<p>For now though, Bungie is addressing the current state of the game through its weekly \u201cThe Week at Bungie\u201d blog posts, detailing changes coming to the game and <em>Destiny 2<\/em>\u2019s community. However, this week\u2019s post ended with the news that <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/bungie\/\">Bungie<\/a>\u2019s longtime Community Manager DeeJ would be leaving on November 6.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED<\/strong>:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/destiny-2-puzzle-haunted-forest-discovery\/\"><strong>Destiny 2 Players Find Potential Puzzle in Haunted Forest<\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Anyone who follows <em>Destiny 2<\/em> closely knows that the community surrounding the game is incredibly important to the team at Bungie. This year\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/bungie-day-trending-twitter\/\">Bungie Day celebration on Twitter<\/a> was a testament to that sentiment, and the mutual respect that fans and Bungie staff members have for each other. One of the leaders of the <em>Destiny 2<\/em> community is Bungie\u2019s own Community Manager DeeJ, who was been with the company since November 7, 2011. Unfortunately, DeeJ announced at his departure from Bungie next month at the end of the October 15 edition of \u201cThis Week at Bungie.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Following details surrounding <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/destiny-2-festival-of-the-lost-2020-rewards-and-activities\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Destiny 2<\/em>\u2019s Festival of Light rewards<\/a> and various fan projects surrounding <em>Destiny 2<\/em>, DeeJ ended the blog post with the announcement. DeeJ\u2019s statement is very personal and shows just how much his position and the Destiny community means to him. He also touches on how much the team at Bungie has done for him, saying that \u201cwhoever warned that you should never meet your heroes didn\u2019t have the chance to work in a place like this.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DeeJ_BNG\/status\/1316834423552180224\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>For those invested in Bungie and <em>Destiny 2<\/em>, DeeJ\u2019s farewell letter is well worth the read. However, it\u2019s important to note that DeeJ assures he won\u2019t disappear completely when November 7 rolls around. He makes a point to mention that <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/destiny-2-beyond-light-warlock-exotics-bad\/\"><em>Destiny 2<\/em>\u2019s Beyond Light<\/a> is an experience that he and the community will share together. While DeeJ says he will be around in the weeks leading up to the expansion&#8217;s launch on November 10, he will fade back into his role as a simple fan of <em>Destiny 2<\/em> shortly after.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a bittersweet farewell to be sure, as DeeJ has been a valuable member of Bungie\u2019s team and the <em>Destiny 2<\/em> community for almost a decade. However, it seems that he already has the next step in his professional journey lined up, which is reassuring to hear. As for <em>Destiny 2<\/em>, Bungie still has plenty of new content on the horizon with the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/destiny-2-get-forerunner-title\/\">end of the Season of Arrivals<\/a> fast approaching.
