Destiny 2<\/em><\/strong>: Beyond Light is scheduled for release on November 10, 2020. After many questions from fans regarding the Worlds First race, Bungie officially released the date. The race will begin at 10 am PST on Saturday, November 21, 2020. This gives players over a month to get their squads together and figure out the best strategies to become the fastest raiders in the game.<\/a><\/p>\n

The race to Worlds First has become a high-spirited ritual among the most elite raiders in the Destiny<\/a> community. Unfortunately, in the past some squads have found ways to cheat the system to gain the title of Worlds First. To attempt to thwart players from cheating, Bungie is taking a different approach to\u00a0Destiny 2<\/em> raid race in Beyond Light.<\/p>\n

This year data scientists for Bungie will be taking time to carefully validate the winning squads run, which means the official announcement crowning the champions as Worlds First will come later than previous years. The\u00a0event will likely still be as exciting as ever, even though the official announcement will be delayed. In addition, players should keep in mind that disqualifications can happen.<\/p>\n

According to Bungie, an award ceremony will take place after the victory has been validated. Every player on the winning squad will be certified as World First finishers, and will receive a title belt for their efforts. Players that don’t win Worlds First will still be eligible to claim some unique in game rewards<\/a> to let other community members know they were among the first to finish the newly added raid. All participants who complete the raid within the first 24 hours while playing in Contest Mode will receive a new purple emblem.<\/p>\n

Fortunately there is still a reward for players who are not able to complete the raid within the 24 hour timeframe, or would prefer to not complete the raid in Contest Mode. These raiders will earn a geometrical red emblem for their efforts.<\/p>\n

Players should be aware of the following changes to be ready for race day. The Contest Mode will have all players capped at 20 Power below each encounter for 24 hours and Artifact Power will be completely disabled. Before the raid begins, 1230 Power should be\u00a0each team’s\u00a0as players above this power cap will have no advantages over other players during the activity.<\/p>\n

Ultimately, this Worlds First race should be more successful than previous races.\u00a0Bungie is making strides cheating detection and prevention<\/a>, making this\u00a0Destiny 2<\/em>\u00a0community tradition more enjoyable for all players.<\/p>\n

Destiny 2<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0and its two expansions,\u00a0Shadowkeep<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Forsaken<\/em>, are currently available for PS4, Xbox One, PC and Stadia.<\/p>\n
