With the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/call-of-duty-black-ops-cold-war\/\"><em>Black Ops Cold War<\/em><\/a> beta finally coming to other platforms this week, Xbox fans are now having issues starting it up.<\/p>\n<p>This is not the first problem the new <em>Call of Duty<\/em> game\u2019s beta has had, as <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/call-of-duty-black-ops-cold-war-beta-cheaters-aimbot\/\"><em>Black Ops Cold War<\/em> is plagued by cheaters<\/a> due to its release on PC. While the aimbot issues have certainly become frustrating within online matches, users not being able to download the beta at all is a bit more of an issue. Hopefully, Activision gets on this quick, as players have taken to Twitter to voice their frustrations.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"related-single\">RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/call-of-duty-black-ops-cold-war-mountain-dew-doritos-free-ps5\/\">Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Mountain Dew Promotion Includes Chance to Win PS5 Console<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>One of the players missing out on the<em> Black Ops Cold War<\/em> beta and its <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/call-of-duty-black-ops-cold-war-nuketown-easter-egg\/\">hidden Nuketown Easter egg<\/a> goes by Tylo on Twitter. The user states that, upon launching the <em>Black Ops Cold War<\/em> beta on Xbox, the menu is telling them that \u201cin order to play the game, I must own it.\u201d Tylo goes on to say share their confusion, stating that they \u201cthought the beta was free.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/XMyManRayX\/status\/1317519934986113024?s=20\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>A response to the tweet from xXMyManRayXx confirms that <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/call-duty-black-ops-cold-war-beta-weekend-2-schedule\/\">the <em>Black Ops Cold War<\/em> beta<\/a> should be free as it has entered its open weekend, also warning Tylo that they \u201cmay have issues with the game crashing\u201d if they are playing on the original Xbox One. Many other players are having issues even downloading the game, however, with Xbox player Shawn Savoie saying that they \u201ccan\u2019t find the Black Ops Cold War beta&#8221; in the Xbox One&#8217;s store.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SavoieLabrador\/status\/1317513106931798017?s=20\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Thankfully, it appears Xbox players have been provided with a workaround via <em>CoD<\/em> news site Charlie Intel. It seems like the beta can be downloaded via the Microsoft Store website despite the issues being had with the Xbox One store. Further, Twitter user Jordan has claimed that the Xbox mobile app allows the beta to be downloaded as well. With the fix working for many users replying to the tweet, it should do the trick for other <em>Call of Duty<\/em> fans on the Xbox platform too. When fans finally get the game downloaded, however, they may want to watch out for campers in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/call-of-duty-black-ops-cold-war-bushes\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">bushes on <em>Black Ops Cold War<\/em>\u2019s cartel map<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GordonGohnson\/status\/1317514679971872769?s=20\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>For players in need of a laugh after all the <em>Black Ops Cold War<\/em> download issues, they may want to look around the map Miami once the beta is on their system.
