Nintendo is offering free content for\u00a0Super Smash Bros. Ultimate<\/em><\/strong> that will be available only to Nintendo Switch Online\u00a0subscribers. Hot on the heels of adding Steve from Minecraft<\/em> to Smash<\/em><\/a>, the company\u00a0is providing even more content for players to access this month.<\/p>\n

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate<\/a><\/em> is getting the Vault Shopper Set 2 bundle through the\u00a0Nintendo Switch Online,\u00a0Nintendo’s subscription service which lets players access\u00a0a variety of online features and items. This includes free games like Super Mario Bros. 35<\/em>, as well as others\u00a0from\u00a0the NES and Super NES library. The company has previously offered free content packs, including last year’s Vault Shopper Set,\u00a0through the NSO service, and now Nintendo is doing so\u00a0again.<\/p>\n

When the first Vault Set was released it came with\u00a05,000 Gold and\u00a0three Classic Tickets, which can be used to purchase new Mii costumes<\/a>, in-game music, and\u00a0more.\u00a0The new content in\u00a0the Vault Shopper Set 2\u00a0is 3,000 Gold and five Classic Tickets, the latter of which can be used to wager for more rewards before the start of a run in Classic Mode. This content will only be offered for a limited time\u00a0through the Switch eShop.<\/p>\n

The Vault Shopper Set 2 is only available to users with an active Switch Online membership. It cannot be downloaded while using a free trial of Switch Online<\/a>, only through a paid subscription. In order to access\u00a0the new Vault Shopper pack, users will need to visit the Switch eShop and go to the Nintendo Switch Online section. From there, the Vault Shopper Set 2 pack should appear under “Special Offers,” and will be available to download alongside\u00a0 other free offers for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate<\/em>\u00a0and games like Super Kirby Clas<\/em>h.<\/p>\n

The additional gold\u00a0and tickets should certainly be useful to both new and pro players in Smash Bros<\/em>. The new Vault Shopper set adds more incentive for\u00a0players to use the Nintendo Switch Online service, and access the other benefits it provides for online multiplayer features. By providing more new free content on the NSO service,\u00a0as well as continuing\u00a0to add games like Donkey Kong Country 2<\/em> to Nintendo Switch Online<\/a> from past console generations, Nintendo fans may be more apt to pay in.<\/p>\n

Whether it’s adding more\u00a0Super Smash Bros. Ultimate <\/em>content<\/a>\u00a0or adding more games from\u00a0the company’s vast library, Nintendo can give users\u00a0more reason to use the Nintendo Switch Online service.<\/p>\n
