Organizers of the San Diego Comic-Con have announced that the famed convention will not take place this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, instead vowing to return on July 22-25, 2021.<\/p>\n

Anyone who has purchased a badge to attend SDCC 2020 (as an attendee or exhibitor) can get a refund or have it transferred to 2021. Convention organizers say further instructions regarding this process will go out within a week.\u00a0Similarly, onPeak, the convention’s official hotel affiliate, is automatically canceling all reservations and issuing refunds for rooms already booked.<\/p>\n

Also affected by the pandemic are renovations to Balboa Park’s Federal Building\u00a0for the Comic-Con Museum grand opening\u00a0in the summer of 2021. These plans are ongoing, but more details will be coming at a later date.<\/p>\n
