Every year plenty of games celebrate Halloween in different spooky ways and this year Infinity Ward is bringing Halloween fun to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare<\/em><\/strong>. To celebrate the scariest time of the year, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare<\/a><\/em> is getting two new store bundles that feature\u00a0famous horror movie icons from the SAW<\/em>\u00a0and Texas Chainsaw Massacre<\/em> franchises.<\/p>\n

The Halloween event, called The Haunting of Verdansk, is kicking off in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare<\/em> and Warzone<\/em> on October 20, and on the event’s first day, players can purchase the horrifying bundles based on SAW<\/em> and The Texas Chainsaw Massare<\/em> movies<\/a>. Each bundle comes with a skin that will cause specific Operators to resemble characters from the horror movies. The SAW<\/em> bundle comes with a Billy the Puppet skin for Morte and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre<\/em> bundle includes a Leatherface skin for Velikan.<\/p>\n

To complete the look for Billy the Puppet, the SAW<\/em> bundle also includes weapons and a vehicle skin that resemble imagery and graphics from the SAW<\/em> movies. The SAW<\/em> bundle includes The Phlebotomozier Lethal Equipment piece which is a throwing knife that resembles a drill bit. Also, the bundle contains skins for the CR-56 AMAX assault rifle<\/a> and the Model 680 shotgun featuring the red spiral image on Billy the Puppet’s cheeks. Lastly, the SAW<\/em> bundle comes with an epic calling card featuring Billy’s face, a spray, a sticker of a cassette tape, and the iconic tricycle that Billy rides in the movie is an attachable gun charm.<\/p>\n

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre<\/em> bundle is largely the same as it includes three weapon skins, a charm, a couple of personalization options, and car horns. This bundle includes the Family Heirloom weapon skin for the FiNN LMG that features a stock that allows players to hold it like a chainsaw and the Buzzkill skin for the ever-powerful and reliable MP5<\/a>. Both weapon skins apply the dismemberment effect and changes the tracer fire color to orange. To complete the set, the bundle has a blueprint that changes a player’s secondary melee weapon into a hammer with one side being a bone breaker and the other side a meat tenderizer.<\/p>\n

Infinity Ward has been dropping hints and teases about its Haunting of Verdansk event since Season 6 released a few weeks ago. The launch trailer for Modern Warfare<\/em> and Warzone<\/em> Season 6 concludes with the announcement of the event as well as the iconic laughing sound effect from the SAW<\/em> movie franchise.\u00a0A few days before it was made official, the Billy the Puppet skin from SAW<\/em><\/a> leaked early leading to fans getting hyped up for all the new Halloween additions.<\/p>\n

The horror movie bundles aren’t the only way players can celebrate Halloween in Call of Duty<\/em> this year. Once The Haunting of Verdansk kicks off, the game will introduce a new mode called Zombie Royale for Warzone<\/em><\/a> in which, once a player dies, they become a zombie instead of going to the Gulag. The zombified players will attempt to come back to life by killing other living players.<\/p>\n

Call of Duty: Warzone<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.<\/p>\n
