With the Xbox Series X launching in just under a month’s time, fans are excited about the next generation of gaming hardware. From first looks at launch games\u00a0playing on the console to detailed overviews of how new features like quick\u00a0resume work<\/a>, Microsoft has also been dedicated to showing off what makes the console tick.<\/p>\n

Its most recent showcase comes through a new trailer for the upcoming\u00a0Dirt 5,\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>with Xbox<\/a> premiering a brief, 35-second teaser that highlights the racing title’s smooth gameplay. It’s noticeable from the offset that the game looks gorgeous, boasting a high frame rate and some high-resolution graphics.<\/p>\n

The trailer cuts between a variety of\u00a0Dirt 5\u00a0<\/em>gameplay clips while showing some reviews from various publications. The gameplay itself looks like classic\u00a0Dirt\u00a0<\/em>fare, seeing players race around off-road circuits against several AI opponents. The difference this time around is the detail that’s gone into the environments and vehicles. Mud splatters\u00a0up from car wheels as they drift around corners, cars realistically reflect light sources, and the world itself pops with color. This is all complemented\u00a0by\u00a0Dirt 5’s<\/a><\/em>\u00a0smooth frame rate, which was recently reported to run at 120 FPS<\/a>.<\/p>\n
