Recently, the developer showed off the game&#8217;s first boss fight with Rhino, a better look at Miles&#8217; arsenal of powers, and <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/spider-man-miles-morales-suit-features-cat-sidekick-fights-crime\/\">a cat that wears a Spider-Man mask and can attack enemies<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The newest in the brief clips meant to advertise the upcoming game just released on\u00a0Insomniac&#8217;s Twitter account, documenting a text conversation between Miles and Peter Parker. Although it mostly gives a new insight into the mentor and student dynamic of the two superheroes, the clip seems to also give\u00a0a few hints as to why <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/spider-man-miles-morales-loading-screen-time\/\">Miles Morales<\/a> is all alone as the events of the new spin-off play out.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/spider-man-miles-morales-rhino-boss-fight\/\">Spider-Man: Miles Morales First Boss Fight is Against Rhino<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The conversation begins with Peter sending a picture of himself and Mary Jane to Miles, with the photograph\u00a0appearing to show that the couple are on a\u00a0trip away from New York. Miles talks with Peter about what he&#8217;s been up to since his mentor&#8217;s been away, discussing moving into a new house with his mother who he acknowledges is currently running for\u00a0a seat on the city council &#8211; something\u00a0fans\u00a0discovered\u00a0in September&#8217;s <em><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/spider-man-miles-morales\/\">Spider-Man: Miles Morales<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>gameplay trailer. Eventually, the talk gets to\u00a0Spider-Man related events, with Miles hinting that the Roxxon Energy Corporation have armed guards protecting a public plaza that&#8217;s currently under construction.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/insomniacgames\/status\/1318537802582093825\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Fans already know that Roxxon will be one of the central antagonists of the upcoming spin-off, making the events of this text conversation feel\u00a0very relevant to\u00a0the events of\u00a0<em>Spider-Man\u00a0<\/em><em>Miles Morales<\/em>. The rest of the conversation discusses what it means to be Spider-Man, with Peter reminding Miles that there&#8217;s no &#8220;right way&#8221; to be a hero. It&#8217;ll be interesting to see whether the text message has given players their reason as to why Miles Morales has to face <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/spider-man-miles-morales-villain-tinkerer\/\">The Tinkerer<\/a> and Roxxon alone, with Peter and MJ seemingly away on business.<\/p>\n<p>The text conversation also gives another glimpse of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/spider-man-remastered-peter-parker-new-model\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Peter Parker&#8217;s new appearance<\/a>, which was changed recently to better fit Yuri Lowenthal&#8217;s voice. Players still haven&#8217;t taken to the younger interpretation of the character, however, with the comments below the recent text conversation being filled with jokes about the uncanny nature of Peter&#8217;s new face.
