Ever since I watched this teaser posted to the Rainbow Six Twitter last week, my mind has been constantly churning out questions about the new grappling hook gadget. What can you hook onto? Can you shoot while grappling? What’s the range? Can you grapple out of a fall?

I had the chance to go hands-on with the new operator at the Rainbow Six Major this weekend, and got the answers to just about every question I had. Watch the short video up above to learn all about how the new gadget works, and get my early thoughts on how it’s balanced.

It’s been almost ten years since Vince Zampella left Infinity Ward to start Respawn, leaving one studio he co-founded to co-found another. The primary genre of his studios has been first-person shooters, but with Jedi: Fallen Order, Respawn is leaving it’s comfort zone to try their hands at a third-person action title.
