It’s been five months since Jump Force received the first of five new playable characters, namely Todoroki from My Hero Academia, but fans can look forward to not one but two new fighters joining the anime crossover’s roster this week.
First is Meruem from Hunter x Hunter, the main antagonist of that show’s Chimera Ant arc, who possesses impressive physical strength and metamorphosis abilities. The second is Hiei, one of the main characters from Yu Yu Hakusho. Aside from using a sword, his Jagan Eye grants him psychic powers and he possesses the Dragon of the Darkness Flame technique.
Both characters will be available in early access for those who have bought the Jump Force Character Pass 2 from October 23rd, before being made available for individual purchase on October 27th. This is only for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC versions though.
Those who bought the game’s deluxe edition on Nintendo Switch will need to wait until early 2021 for these characters. Bandai Namco will hopefully be able to provide a more specific release date within the next few months.
This still leaves two more characters to be announced, with the only information we have being one is from Bleach and the other is from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. Buying the Character Pass will give provide early access to these characters when they launch as well.
Jump Force is available on Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
