Next month, Cyberpunk 2077 will be released for most major platforms, and in preparation showcase PC builder for Fierce PC Caprani has crafted the perfect machine to run it on. The build features pink and blue lighting and almost resembles the streets of Night City. Unfortunately this particular PC is not for sale, but the PC builder is offering other machines which were inspired by this Cyberpunk PC build.
Caprani started with a 1000D Corsair case, which was then fitted with an AMD 3950X processor, 64GB of Dominator RAM, a FireCuda m.2 520 1 tb hard drive, and not one but two ASUS Strix 2080ti graphics cards. The Hydro X Series XD5 pump/reservoir combo provides liquid cooling to all critical components. RGB lights bring the internals to life, particularly a neon sign advertising the “No-Tell Motel” sign set at the top left.
PC builders craft themed machines for many reasons. Some want to pay homage to their favorite PC game, while others seek to challenge themselves by, for example, building a PC with zen aesthetics. In this particular case, the aim of the build was to draw attention from Cyberpunk fans to Fierce PC’s products. Considering how many people are reacting on Twitter wishing they could own this machine, it seems to be working.
One neat detail that could be easily overlooked is the Samurai logo, the chrome rock band featured throughout the Cyberpunk series which was recently promoting its own cola made by Rockstar energy. Samurai’s cybernetic demon face appears on the red translucent plate mounted in front, while the word Samurai is emblazoned across the top of the right side panel. Like a rock star’s equipment trunk, the right side of the PC case has been covered in spray-painted tags and stickers. Fierce PC’s demon logo appears in the lower right corner of the internals, and the top of the case is covered in spikes.
The rig looks impressive, but it likely needs a knowledgeable user to maintain it. The challenge of using liquid to cool components is keeping it all contained within the system. A failure anywhere in the line can make a mess very quickly and damage internal components depending on what cooling medium was used. The trade off is that water or mineral oil can draw heat away from components a lot faster than air can, keeping the whole rig a lot cooler during intense game sessions.
Fans are excited about Cyberpunk 2077 being released next month, and the appearance of this custom rig is only going to fan the flames of hype. This particular PC is not available for purchase, but dedicated fans may have barely enough time to put together their own Cyberpunk-themed build before the game releases.
Cyberpunk 2077 releases November 18, 2020, for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One. Xbox Series X and PS5 versions are slated for 2021.
