The new DLC for Ghost of Tsushima, titled Legends, certainly has a lot to do for free DLC. Players can spend a good amount of time perfecting techniques, getting all the gear for the perfect Samurai build, and trying to collect absolutely everything.
Collecting is what the new Ghost of Tsushima DLC is about at its heart. Legends is billed as a mini-looter, but it offers a lot for being mini. The co-op centric mode sees players take on either a two-player story or four-player survival series of missions. There is a raid mode in the works as well, promised later down the line. But while loot is the primary target of acquisition, there are other things to find too. Two of the more elusive collectibles to hunt are Gyozen’s Lost Scrolls and the Oni Treasures. Here’s a guide on how to find them.
Neither Gyozen’s Hidden Scrolls nor the Oni Treasures can be accessed when players first begin Ghost of Tsushima: Legends. In order to make them available to collect, players first have to complete the story mode. This mode allows for up to two players, and although it is possible to go it alone, it’s recommended to find others to help. Considering how many are playing Legends, with some calling it the best multiplayer DLC in years, it probably won’t be hard to find some partners.
After completing the story mode, players can play through Silver story mode. This is essentially a higher difficulty story with additional challenges. One of those challenges is finding Gyozen’s Lost Scrolls. There’s a cache of scrolls in each level, but never in the same place twice. While there are other things, from legendary weapons to common trinkets, for players to grind for, the scrolls must be found within the level. Players can use their Senses to help them find the Scrolls using the Dual Sense Controller’s touchpad. Once in the right area according to the Senses, players must look in every nook and cranny.
Just like Gyozen’s Scrolls, the Oni Treasures can only be accessed by playing on Silver difficulty. Also like the Scrolls, there is one Treasure per stage and its location is different each time. However, unlike the Scrolls, players will want to take their best Legends class to try and obtain a Treasure.
Every Treasure is inside a big, ornate chest, and they’re a bit easier to find than the scrolls. They can be highlighted with Senses and approached easily. However, after being opened, they spawn several powerful guards to defeat before players can get the treasure. Players must keep all of Legends‘ important mechanics in mind when fighting these battles, and if triumphant, can claim the treasures as their own.
Ghost of Tsushima is available for the PS4.
