Pokemon Sword and Shield: Where to Find Legendary Titans

All of the legendary Pokemon have been brought back to Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield with the release of the Crown Tundra DLC expansion. Included with these legendary Pokemon are the Legendary Titans, which are a bit more difficult to find than other legendary Pokemon.

Pokemon Sword and Shield don’t mark the first time the Legendary Titans, also known as the Regis, were locked behind special riddles with unique solutions. They have been like this since their introductions back in Pokemon Ruby and Pokemon Sapphire on the Game Boy Advance.

Throughout the Crown Tundra there will be various ruins that make up the homes of Legendary Titans along with the riddles that the player needs to solve in order to battle these ancient Pokemon. While it is recommended that players try to figure it out for themselves first, this will help those who want to cut to the chase.

There are four different ruins that will contain the Legendary Titans. They are the Rock Peak Ruins, the Iceberg Ruins, the Iron Ruins, and the Split DecisiRuins. The first three can be done in any order, with the Split DecisiRuins being required to complete last.

The Rock Peak Ruins are the home of Regirock, a pure rock-type Pokemon. In order to unlock these ruins, players will need to have their lead Pokemon hold an Everstone. After entering the ruins, players will need to highlight the lights on the floor so that it matches the light pattern of Regirock. This will begin the battle with the Pokemon.

The Iceberg Ruins are the home of Regice, a pure ice-type Pokemon. The solution to this ruin’s puzzle is to find and catch a Cryogonal, although transferring one from Pokemon Home will also work. Players will then need to have Cryogonal as the lead in their party. After opening the ruins and coming inside, players need to highlight the floor lights to match Regice’s pattern in order to start the battle.

The Iron Ruins are the home of Registeel, a pure steel-type Pokemon. To open the Iron ruins, players will need to whistle in front of the door. Then, they simply need to do the light highlighting for Registeel’s pattern to battle it.

Finally, the Split DecisiRuins will require players to have all three of the previous Legendary Titans on their team in order to open the door. At that point, players can either make the light pattern of Regidrago, a pure dragon-type Pokemon, or of Regieleki, a pure electric-type Pokemon. Players can only choose one Pokemon to fight and capture per playthrough.

Pokemon Sword and Shield are available on Nintendo Switch.
