Following the link, players are taken to the website for the Call of Duty Endowment, Activision’s veteran charity. It seems fitting that a QR code to this charity is located on the back of a Stim Pack, as the Call of Duty Endowment organization helps veterans get jobs after returning from deployment, which is a potentially life saving second chance.
While this is a subtle Modern Warfare Easter egg, many players in the community feel that it well placed. Finding the QR code takes some investigation as it is not obviously apparent, and the numbers are thought to be part of the item rather than the Easter egg, with many fans suggesting that it’s a unit code or batch code.
Call of Duty often promotes the Call of Duty Endowment charity near the initial launch of each game. With in-game cosmetics, Operator skins, and special blueprints, Modern Warfare even had a bundle that went to supporting the charity organization.
Overall the game’s community seems to consider this a fairly interesting and well-placed Easter egg.
