The series is set to be released on Netflix next year, and Capcom’s Hiroyuki Kobayashi will executive produce. TMS Entertainment will produce, and Resident Evil: Vendetta’s Quebico and Kei Miyamoto will be in charge of the animation.
There’s also a Resident Evil live adaptation set for a Netflix airing at some point, which stars the Wesker kids.
The show’s events unfold across two timelines, with the first featuring the teenage sisters Jade and Billie Wesker moving to New Raccoon City. The second timeline picks up over 10 years later as Jade tries to survive an infected world.
The live-action series will be made up of eight episodes, with a one-hour runtime each. Supernatural’s Andrew Dabb is the showrunner.
