While fans continue to enjoy the content in Fall Guys’ second season, Mediatonic seems to be doing all it can to secure more crossovers. As such, another special Fall Guys skin will be arriving to the game on November 3, and players will be able to dress up as an iconic Kaiju for Godzilla Day.
While Godzilla may not have had the best luck with video games in the past, as 2015’s Godzilla game was disappointing for many fans, this latest appearance seems like a perfect fit for the character. Tweeted out by Mediatonic, the skin is well-detailed, and the huge gray monster fits onto the Fall Guys beans surprisingly well. Based on the reveal, the Fall Guys team seems excited about the crossover, so players may want to get their crowns ready as fast as possible.
The tweet announcing the arrival of Godzilla mentions that players “better start getting their crowns together.” Despite Fall Guys Season 2 featuring plenty of new skins for players to spend their hard-earned crowns on, including a Sonic the Hedgehog crossover, it seems likely that Godzilla will be a legendary outfit that costs 10 crowns.
Players will need to take a break from questioning the Fall Guys team on Perfect Match’s mystery fruit if they want to unlock Godzilla, as he will likely only be in the shop for a few days if previous skins are anything to go by. Grinding out crowns via wins and battle pass tiers will be a necessity for fans of the iconic movie monster, so it was wise of Mediatonic to offer a heads up regarding the skin’s addition to the game.
It will be interesting to see what other crossovers come to the collection of party games, as Godzilla is far from the first character to crossover into Fall Guys‘ world of stumbling beans. Aside from Sonic, a Fall Guys crossover with indie game Gris brought hair to the game, while Valve crossovers brought skins for iconic Portal and Half-Life characters. With a Godzilla vs. Kong film set to arrive next year, perhaps King Kong will be another licensed character to stomp his way to the Fall Guys roster.
Regardless, the addition of Godzilla to Fall Guys should prove to be a thrilling crossover for fans of the iconic Kaiju. Come Godzilla Day, fans should expect to see a bunch of beans cosplaying as monsters as they progress through Fall Guys’ new medieval levels.
