Since Microsoft first released Halo: The Master Chief Collection on PC, it has given so many members of the gaming community a great deal of enjoyment. Whether they’re a long time Halo fan or a newcomer to the series, the PC port of The Master Chief collection has given many the opportunity to experience Halo. Now, 343 Industries has great news for those who have been enjoying the Halo 4 multiplayer beta.
While the Halo 4 PC beta was delayed for a period of time, it’s out now and has been well received by many of those who were given access. Unfortunately, a release date has yet to be confirmed in terms of when Halo 4 will release on PC. However, it has now been confirmed that the Halo 4 beta will now be receiving an extension.
As of today, the Halo 4 beta will be extended an extra week until the end of November 6th at 10AM PT. Perhaps the extension was to make up for the beta’s delay, but in any case, those already enjoying the beta will be able to enjoy it for a little while longer. Though, that wasn’t the only piece of news that 343 had in store.
In addition to the beta’s extension, the developers will also be providing players with Halo Reach crossplay as well. This will include multiplayer and firefight maps. Lastly, the Xbox and PC versions of the Halo 4 beta have received various other updates, the details of which are explained on Halo Waypoint.
For any participating members of the beta, this is very good news. Ever since it was first launched on PC, The Master Chief Collection has seen its fair share of success, especially considering all of the new content that continues to get added to the game. With the release of Halo 4 right around the corner and rumors of presumed new maps from Halo Online, it seems like 343 won’t be slowing down any time soon.
Having said all this, there are many Halo fans who are growing considerably worried about Halo Infinite. With the game being delayed and with the development team losing its second game director since the project began, there are definitely some worrying signs about the release of the game. Hopefully, the game will still be as successful as Microsoft predicts it will be.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection is available now on PC and Xbox One.
