Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a great example of a game that arrived at the perfect time. While 2020 has been filled with confusion and quarantines, New Horizons has allowed players to explore, create, and share, all from the safety of their homes. That has continued throughout the year, as now players are celebrating Halloween within Nintendo’s cute and charming life-sim.
Halloween is just around the corner in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and players are getting ready by decorating and planning parties. One Reddit user, in particular, has created a trick or treat roulette game that is starting to catch on.
Animal Crossing: New Horizon‘s fall update brought a lot of content to the game, including pumpkins and Halloween fun. u/chickenandwaffurs on Reddit is taking full advantage of the experience, posting a video on Reddit of a fun game idea. Players must spin a roulette, and whichever number the spinner lands on, the player digs up the matching mark on the ground. However, four items are treats (expensive/rare items) and four items are tricks (gag/trash items).
For those who are throwing parties on Halloween within the game, this roulette trick or treat idea is great. The Fall/Halloween update in New Horizons has many DIYs and Nintendo planned treats, but the creative aspect of the game also allows players to make their own fun, and that’s exactly what is happening here.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons’s Halloween event is wonderfully charming and spooky. For those who are unable to enjoy the holiday in real life, having fun within the game is a great way to escape. Of course, there are those who will double-dip Halloween, both in and outside of the game, and that should be an enjoyable experience as well.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now on Nintendo Switch.
