BossLogic is an artist most known for his artwork involving pop culture subjects and figures surrounding gaming, film, and comic books. Some gaming fans may be familiar with BossLogic through his involvement with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s reveal. During the leadup to the full reveal, BossLogic streamed himself drawing the artwork that would go on to unveil the main setting of Valhalla along with the game’s male protagonist, Eivor. Now, BossLogic is showing some love to Spider-Man by creating an absolutely stunning piece of art that mixes the Spider-Verse film’s Miles Morales with PlayStation’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was critically acclaimed following its release, with many praising the film’s incredible art style and overall aesthetic. In BossLogic’s piece, he combined the stylistic, slimmer Miles from the film with the general style of the Miles Morales PS5 box art and layout. BossLogic also adds elements of the glitchy flair that’s central to the overall plot of Into the Spider-Verse, as well as creating a black and white-centric versions of the piece. Needless to say, the piece is a stunning crossover depiction of two interpretations of the loveable Miles Morales.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales on PS5 has also shown love to the Into the Spider-Verse film ahead of the game’s release. Insomniac recently revealed a Spider-Verse suit in Miles Morales that players can unlock over the course of the game. The Spider-Verse suit in Miles Morales gives Miles his Spider-Verse appearance while also tweaking his frame rate to match the effect achieved in the film. The in-game suit does an excellent job at marrying the aesthetic and feel of Spider-Verse with the Miles Morales game, similar to BossLogic’s artwork.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was likely many fans’ introductions to the Miles Morales character. The film was an excellent origin story for Miles, but Insomniac’s Spider-Man on PS4 already gave Miles his origin story. As such, Insomniac has said that Miles Morales is a coming of age story that focuses on the young hero getting used to his new role and responsibilities. One thing is for sure: the response to BossLogic’s crossover piece on social media shows that both interpretations of Miles mean a lot to plenty of Spider-Man fans.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales releases exclusively for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on November 12, 2020.
