The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator is a personality test with sixteen results. Here are sixteen characters that most gamers will know and may relate to.

16 INFP – Cloud

Zelda is the titular character of The Legend of Zelda and the princess of Hyrule. She is very smart and thinks carefully for her people. 13 ISTJ – Kratos

Kratos is the protagonist in God of War. Though he has changed a lot from the first title of the series to 2018’s critically acclaimed installment, he has mostly kept to himself and has made decisions that impact his entire world. He has lightened up a bit since starting a family but will always think carefully on what is best for his son.

12 ENTJ – Ganon

The main antagonist of The Legend of Zelda is none other than Ganon. He can be very outgoing in order to manipulate those that he needs to.

He also plans things out in advance and can think of many results for every action he makes, always ensuring his return if defeated.

11 INTJ – Sephiroth

Another brilliant mastermind is Sephiroth. There are few villains in Final Fantasy that are as frightening as the one-winged angel. Originally being Shinra’s greatest soldier and Cloud’s idol, he turned against humanity and plotted to destroy the world and become one with it. He is very calculating and does whatever he has to in order to reach his goal of becoming a new lifeform.

10 INTP – Tails

An incredibly intelligent character that is a hero rather than a villain is Tails. He has built a lot of things that have saved him and his friends countless times, always being prepared to make whatever they may need. Throughout the games, Tails has gone from being very insecure to being confident in his skills and becoming more comfortable with letting others into his life. However, he still keeps to himself when he isn’t around his closest comrades.

9 ESTP – Sonic

Tails’ best friend is Sonic. Always looking to help those in need and save the world, the fast hedgehog has gained a lot of friends over the years and looks out for them. Though he is mostly known for being incredibly fast, he is also a quick to make decisions and usually looks to see what the best thing to do in the moment is rather than plan things out ahead of time.

8 ENTP – Ellie

Next to Joel, Ellie is the other protagonist of The Last of Us games. Though she was originally reluctant to join Joel, she became very close to him and many others on her journey. Infected but not affected, Ellie was the key to saving humanity. While Joel decided to save her, Ellie was willing to do whatever it took to save everyone else.

Pikachu is very active and energetic, easily being able to make friends. Many trainers like to catch the electric mouse pokémon as they make good allies in battle. Pikachu is very caring towards its trainers and other pokémon and will always do whatever is needed for them.

6 ENFP – Sora

Sora is the main protagonist from Kingdom HeartsHe has made many friends in his travels with Donald and Goofy across various worlds based on Disney and Pixar films. There are times where not even his weird thoughts make sense to him.

5 ENFJ – Chris

Once the protagonist of the Resident Evil series, it seems that Chris Redfield may be an antagonist in the upcoming title, Resident Evil 8: Village. He gets very close to those around him and cares a lot about them. However, as a fighter, he has also had to make a lot of tough decisions that may hurt his friends.

4 ESFJ – Reinhardt

Reinhardt is a tank hero from Overwatch. Before the titular team disbanded, he was one of the friendliest members on it and tried to get along with everyone. Link is the main character of The Legend of Zelda. Though many protagonists in video games are an ISTP, the user of the Triforce of Courage is probably the greatest example out there. 1 ISFP- Genji

Genji is a damage hero in Overwatch. Presumably being killed by his brother, Hanzo, Genji became a member of Blackwatch, a small group of members from the titular team that go on missions that they do not want the public to know about. He has tried to join forces with Hanzo again and is waiting until his brother is ready to restore honor to their bloodline. Until then, he watches him from afar.
