Last week, Fall Guys teased a brand-new Godzilla costume for players to unlock as part of a collaboration with Toho to celebrate Godzilla Day, the anniversary of the very first Godzilla movie release. The costume is now available for players to unlock, though anyone who wants it will need to put in the work.
Fortunately, it doesn’t require anything too complicated. All players need to do is earn ten Crowns and the costume is theirs. Fall Guys players can even choose to only wear the top half of the costume and have Godzilla run around in striped pants or a rainbow tutu, as demonstrated in a video put out on Twitter.
While this isn’t Fall Guys‘ first crossover costume (last month it received a costume based on Sonic the Hedgehog), it speaks volumes of the game’s popularity that Mediatonic managed to land a collaboration involving arguably the most iconic movie monster of all time.
The announcement tweet also says that the video may contain some leaks, suggesting that there are hidden secrets that hint at future content for the game. This should no doubt prompting fans to pore over it repeatedly to see what it could be referring to.
Earlier this week, in the run-up to Godzilla Day, a short trailer for Netflix’s Godzilla Singular Point anime series was released, teasing appearances from several other popular kaiju. The series will feature a blend of animation styles, with the human characters done in 2D while the monsters are in 3D.
Fall Guys is available now on PC and PlayStation 4.
