At one time, a PvP mode was planned for Phasmophobia, but that plan has been scrapped.
Speaking with IGN, Kinetic Games said it has dropped the idea of adding PvP to Early Access title Phasmophobia.
According to developer Dknighterto, there are no plans at the moment to add another game mode, as it would “turn the game into something completely different.”
“I want the game to remain 4 players vs. 1 AI, and balance the game, then add new features around that style of gameplay,” said Dknighterto.
Instead of adding new content to the game right away, the main goal right now is major bug fixes, but you can expect new content at some point.
You can keep up with the game’s current development pipeline on its dedicated Trello board.
Phasmophobia is a four-player online co-op psychological horror game, where paranormal activity is on the rise and it’s up to you and your team to use ghost hunting equipment to gather as much evidence as you can.
