Destiny 2 Adding New Kiosk for Picking Up Old Quests | Game Rant

On November 10, Destiny 2: Beyond Light will bring many game changing features such as a brand new element called Stasis, the long fabled location of Europa, and gear sunsetting, just to name a few. However, as Bungie also aims to streamline many of the game’s systems, it is trying to make it easier for players to get in and progress through the game. One such quality of life feature coming in Beyond Light is quest board where players can easily reacquire previously abandoned quests.

One of the main focuses of Beyond Light is to streamline and polish Destiny 2‘s many systems. This includes seasonal rank progression, the number of zones and activities as well as weapon pursuits. Bungie expects there to be a big influx of new players this year as well, thus an easy to access place to pick up abandoned quests is a welcome addition to the game.

In Destiny, almost no pursuit gets permanently deleted when a player abandons it. However, all of them need to be reacquired from their associated NPC vendors, which can be confusing to track down for the more casual or newer playerbase. The new kiosk, called the Quest Archive, will sit to the left of the Postmaster at the Tower. It will store every previously discarded quest that can still be completed in the current season.

This is also good news for veterans as they will have a one stop shop to tick off any missing pursuits they might’ve forgotten about. Moreover, veteran players will be able to pick up the upcoming New Light Quest from this kiosk. This is an introductory experience designed for newcomers but also includes a tour of the refurbished Cosmodrome destination. This means that long time players won’t have to open a new character or wait for the daily mission playlist to feature the new Cosmodrome questline.

Players should be aware of the fact that many of the current seasonal weapon and exotic pursuits will be deprecated in Beyond Light and these will not be featured in the Quest Archive since they are tied to content inside the Destiny Content Vault. To acquire the rewards of these old quests, players will need to visit the Monument to Lost Lights Exotic Archive kiosk next to the player vaults. This vendor will offer the rewards for the currently unavailable pursuit and exotic weapons, but at a steep price to reflect the commitment required to obtain them when they were once available.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light releases November 10, 2020 for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions also in development.
