Pikmin 3 Deluxe: How to Use Camera for Shutterbug Badge

Players that love earning video game achievements may be happy to learn that Pikmin 3 Deluxe features its own in-game badge system. Indeed, there are numerous badges that fans can earn by fulfilling a variety of criterion in Pikmin 3 Deluxe, and players that want to consider the game 100% complete will need to collect them all. One of the badges in particular that some players may have questions about is the Shutterbug badge, which instructs fans to use the camera to take a photo.

Earning Pikmin 3 Deluxe‘s Shutterbug badge is quite easy, and the process begins with opening the KopPad. This is done by simply pressing the minus button on a Joy-Con or Pro Controller, and players should direct their attention to the six icons at the bottom of this menu. The icon of interest for the Shutterbug badge is the one that looks like a camera, which is the last one in the row, as selecting it will open photo mode.

Players are now set to take a photo in Pikmin 3 Deluxe, and fans that are interested in earning the Shutterbug achievement as quickly as possible should feel free to press ZR immediately upon accessing the camera. Alternatively, fans can put some more time into their compositions and play with the various features that are offered by the in-game camera. These features give players the ability to toggle the camera’s flash, change its focus type, and adjust its zoom, and they can facilitate some very nice photos with a bit of attention.

Whatever path a Pikmin 3 Deluxe players choses to take with their picture making, the final step required to obtain the Shutterbug badge is to close the camera. That is done by pressing B, and fans should see the achievement register as complete as soon as they have entered the input. Players will then need to decide if there are any additional photos that they want to compose or if it is time from them to focus on another aspect of the game.

To note, the Shutterbug badge is not the only one that centers around the in-game camera, as the Archaeology Hobbyist and Legendary Archaeologist achievements will also have fans snapping photos. These additional badges differ from the Shutterbug achievement, though, as they require players to be very calculated in the pictures that they take. More specifically, fans will need to be capturing images of hidden murals, which can be found as the days in Pikmin 3 Deluxe march forward.

Pikmin 3 Deluxe is available now for Nintendo Switch.
