After reaching Asgard in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, players will be sent to a nearby cave as part of a quest called Well-Traveled. Upon entering this cave, fans will encounter a puzzle that centers around beams of light and pillars with orbs on top, and they will need to solve it in order to unseal the Well of Urd and continue on their journeys. While this may initially seem quite challenging, solving this light puzzle in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla requires only a few steps.
The first thing that players should do after they have entered the designated cave is make their way across the room to the orb that is emitting light. They should then position themselves behind the orb and interact with it in order to reposition its beam. More specifically, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla players should point the beam at the crystal just above the cave’s entrance, and this will split the light into two.
Action RPG fans should now head down to the path around the well, where they will find a moveable pillar with an orb. This pillar needs to be repositioned so that it can ultimately reflect the beam of light from the orb on the right side of the room (when facing into the room from the entrance) onto a dial that is next to the well. This requires that the pillar be moved about one-quarter of the way around the circle, and the following video clarifies exactly where it should end up.
With the pillar in position, players should move their characters in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla to the beam of light on the right side (again when facing into the room from the entrance) and angle it toward the orb that was just moved. This should cause the light to hit the aforementioned dial, though fans may need to do some minor adjustments, to both the orb that is emitting the light and the one that is intended to reflect it, before they get everything lined up perfectly.
Players should now navigate to the beam of light on the other side of the room and reangle it so that it hits the orb on the platform that is directly in front of it. Fans will then need to reangle this final orb to send the light toward another dial that is situated around the well. This will then unseal the Well of Urd and mark the completion of one of the trickiest puzzles in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla releases November 10 for PC, PS4, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. A PS5 version launches alongside the console on November 12.
