PS Plus 1 Year Subscriptions Available for Cheap Ahead of Black Friday

Now that the PS5 is out, many PlayStation fans are gearing up to experience the next generation of gaming with new PlayStation exclusives, features, and graphical updates. To sweeten the deal, some online stores are offering a one-year of PlayStation Plus for cheaper prices ahead of Black Friday 2020.

An online store called CDKeys is offering one year of PlayStation Plus for $30.99 – almost half off the original price. However, CDKeys isn’t the only website running the deal, as eBay sellers including neogames are also selling a yearly membership for the same price. Both PlayStation fans and newcomers will want to take advantage of the PlayStation Plus offer before it’s too late, which in return will allow them to access PlayStation Plus perks and online benefits while potentially moving onto the PS5.

For those who may not be familiar with PlayStation Plus, the membership allows its subscribers to play online games with other PlayStation users, as well as get access to benefits such as free monthly games, 100 GB of online storage for saves (cloud storage allowing save transfers and save data uploads/downloads), exclusive discounts through the PlayStation Store, and more. Seeing as the sale offers PlayStation Plus for one year, those who take advantage of it will be able to enjoy these benefits for some time to come.

Before the PS5 launched, Sony announced a special collection of critically-acclaimed games called the PlayStation Plus Collection exclusively for the PS5. Anyone who is a PlayStation Plus member will be able to access games like God of War, Bloodborne, Monster Hunter World, The Last of Us Remastered, and more.

Since the majority of the PlayStation Plus Collection games are first-party and/or AAA titles, this can be seen as a good opportunity to try the games out without having to buy them individually. However, players will have to re-subscribe to continue playing the games once their membership expires.

One other thing that is worth mentioning is that going forward, Sony plans on improving the PlayStation Plus experience by including PS5 games in its monthly free game lineups, essentially allowing PS5 and PS4 owners to enjoy free monthly games to add to their libraries for the future. Seeing as PlayStation Plus has been successful for a number of years, fans can expect the service to improve down the line and potentially offer new benefits, perks, and deals. Time will tell how Sony approaches its content in the new generation.
