Use This Game to Stay Physically Active While Binging Shows

There’s a section of the movie Heavyweights starring Ben Stiller that feels oddly topical for the world today. After retaking their camp from Ben Stiller’s evil and controlling Tony Perkins, the kids at Camp Hope embark on a night of binging every treat imaginable. The next morning the boys awake covered in condiments and junk food. Through their sugar-induced hangover their Camp Counselor Pat wakes the boys up with a challenge, “I think what we learned here is something about personal responsibility… We gotta take control of ourselves before we take control of this camp. Who wants to do this thing with me?”.

The situation differs from that of the world today, but the lesson still stands out. Especially in a world where many are still self-quarantining, a healthy lifestyle can be a real concern. Whether or not a person has gained weight during this time or not, it’s always a good idea for a person to invest in their own health. Exercise does more than just help a person lose weight. Regular exercise can reduce the risk of heart disease, strengthen bones and muscles, and even improve mental health and mood. Looking at these facts the question arises: While some people may enjoy a more sedentary lifestyle, how can a person still enjoy the comfort of their couch without becoming a total potato?
