Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Bug Makes Children Huge | Game Rant

It seems that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has almost everything. The Viking world has homesteads, ships, warfare, side missions, and even giant children. Many players are reporting a bug that causes a specific child to appear taller than the main character, leading to some intimidating dialogue. Thankfully, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla players have discovered that this bug seems to have some limitations.

While there are side missions of all types in the game, this particular side mission is giving some Valhalla players more than they asked for. The mission itself involves the player talking to a specific Anglo-Saxon Child about their parent. For many players who are on this quest, the child appears almost more adult than kid. The dialogue and interactions seem to be exactly the same with only the model being bugged. Considering Vikings were pretty tall on average, this bug is accidentally historically accurate.

Valhalla players have already started sharing their experiences with the legendary Anglo-Saxon Child. Some were saddened to see that their version of this character was actually the normal model. Others reported this same character being bugged outside of the quest, meaning that it is likely the specific character itself that is bugged and not the mission. Players are unsure what exactly is causing this bug, but many of them are treating is as a sort of lottery as they discover which version of the child is in their game.

It is a shame that this child can’t be recruited, as he likely has legendary Viking strength that would make a great addition to Eivor’s growing family. Unfortunately, this giant child can only be interacted with. Regardless, it still is able to start the game off with a hilarious bug that is bringing many players together as they share stories of their encounter with Anglo-Saxon Child.

This seems to be far from the weirdest thing in the new Assassin’s Creed game. There is a way that players can turn their raven into a pigeon which still caws like a raven. In addition, Eivor can recruit a Viking cat to join their ship crew. While this cat isn’t as useful as summoning a wolf into battle, it still stands out as a strange and fun encounter in the middle of the story.

There are plenty of secrets for players to find in Valhalla. Whether those secrets are legendary items or strangely massive children, there is over a hundred hours of exploration just waiting for brave Vikings. As with any game as large as this, players expect there to be bugs at launch. Now the wait begins for players to uncover the next strangest one.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
